In our first day of work immersion we attend the flag ceremony and the national
immunization program that was held at municipal social hall. After the program ma’am Rea
Caingat accompanied us in our respective venues. We are deployed at municipal agricultural
office, we met the employees and ma’am Melba Bautista who discussed the organic agriculture
so we can have a little knowledge about agriculture before we go int the field.
October 22, 2019
This day we went at demo farm in luttuad after we arrived there, were amazed by the
beautiful view. Mr. Sonny Pacunla lectured abut the different insect pest until 12:00 PM. After
the discussion he gives us assignment to solve. In the lunch time, we ate together with my
classmates and fellow student. In the afternoon sir Pacunla requested us to gather different
kind of grass in the demo farm, and he ask also what kind of grass is it. In the of our activity he
discussed with us the soil sampling and we do the hands on activity.
October 23, 2019
This day Mr. Virgilio Calip discussed about the vermi composting and mushroom
production. In the afternoon Mr. Emerson Bartido discussed also the natural farming inputs.
After the discussion we have done an activity. We made an fermented fruit juice, and we will
wait for it to be fully ferment.
October 24, 2019
This day ma’am Zarina Dyosa Clemente a Vetmed graduate discussed about poultry. The
different name of an chicken and other feathered animal. After the discussion she treated us,
she bought snacks for us. In the afternoon she told us to practice the task given to us that we’ll
present in Monday.
October 25,2019
At the morning Mr. Mark Kevin Lodevico discussed about the climate change,, the cause
and effect of climate change in the agriculture. In the afternoon Mr. Ryan Calub lectured us the
vegetable production management. He gives us also activity. We planted petchay in the
seedling tray.
October 28 , 2019
8:00 in the morning we went at the municipal hall to present our zumba that we’ve
practiced last week . after we present our zumba mr. Rio Azer A. Geron approached us and
asked us if we’re the immersant in there office and we said yes. 9:00 AM we went at luttuad
and Mr. Geron discussed about the small ruminant production, breeds of goat and sheep. Sir
explained it well so we easily understand it. After the discussion Mr. Geron treated us a snacks.
They gave also advice and in the afternoon we went at the office to make some paper works.
October 29, 2019
This day we went again at the demo farm in luttuad. When we arrived there we
reviewed our notes because Mr. Geron would gives a quiz. And I am thankful because I got 30
over 35. after the quiz he continued his discussion about the small ruminant production he also
treated us again a snack. 2:00 PM we went at the office to get our copy, and also we cleaned
the backyard of the office before we leave
October 30, 2019
This day I felt nervous because sir Realson was the one who will discussed for this day.
9:00 AM sir Realson started his discussion about slaughtering food animals, heat
determination , and basic medication and health program. After the discussion he let us have
our necessity. Sir realson also treated us a snacks. After we have our “ meryenda” sir Realson
continued his discussion about the last topic organic pig raising. 12:00 PM he let us inject
vitamins to the piglets to have a knowledge and experience in injecting syringe. 2:00 in the
afternoon we went at the abattoir slaughtering house when we arrived there we saw sir Jessie
Puon and sir Edward. Sir Jessie requested us to took group photos to fulfill his assignment. 30
minutes has pass sir Christopher a meat inspector showed us the process of killing and cleaning
of the pig. This day I realized that I should not be nervous when sir Realson was with us because
his kind and approachable. Like when he spend his time for us instead of going in their
meeting, when he let us copy his presentation, when he treated us a snacks, and other. Killing a
pig is not easy it should follow the process.
October 31, 2019
In the morning we decide to clean the office and swept the dry leaves fallen from the
tree. 9:00 we were t the pasalubong center. Ma’am Melba was the one who will discussed the
integrated farming. She assigned us to report a short explanation about the topic that she gave.
The topic that was given to me is about muti cropping. I easily understand the meaning of it so I
have an explanation for it but when ma’am Melba asked me about what was the difference of
muti cropping to the inter cropping I don’t know the answer but at last she explained it. After
the discussion we went back at the office because mam Melba told us that we were gonna took
our exam. When we arrived at the office we cant review our notes because there someone who
was discussing about radiation. So we told mam Melba that we’re not ready to took our exam
and she understand it.
November 04, 2019
This day is the day we took our exam . when we arrived at the office we immediately
reviewed our notes to recall the past discussion. We felt nervous while we’re reviewing. 9:00
when we decided to start to took our exam and she assigned our respective seat. But sir sonny
Pacunla interrupt us and he requested us to help them carry the bunch of sacks that has been
delivered in the office. After we help sir sonny he treated us he gave money to bought food for
us. 10:30 when we started our examination when I saw the content of our exam I was shocked
because of the 7 essay. 12:00 when we finished our exam.
November 05, 2019
We went at the office for the last time because this day is the end of our work
immersion. We contributed money to bought the ingredient of pancit to cook pancit for our
lunch and to show also that we appreciated their guidance and effort in teaching us. So we
want to at least give them a treat. In this day also they gave us our certificate of appearance
and I know that in the short span of time I easily loved and miss all the lecturers and my fellow
student that with me in that 10 days.
