Automatic transmission, level check
Remove the ATF filler cap
Fill with 0.7 litres of oil
Start the engine
Use the diagnostic tool
When the oil temperature reaches 50 - 60 °C
Cycle through the gears, pausing in each gear for 2 - 3 seconds
Engine running at idle speed
Cycle through the gears, pausing in each gear for 2 - 3 seconds
Raise the vehicle
Ensure the vehicle is horizontal
Remove the oil level plug
The fluid level is correct if a small amount of fluid flows out
Refit the level plug

Remove
Lower the
thevehicle
ATF filler cap
Refit the ATF filler cap
Automatic transmission, drain/refill
Remove the oil drain plug
Fill with 0.7 litres of oil
Start the engine
Drain the ATF
Use the diagnostic tool
Refit the oil drain plug
When the oil temperature reaches 50 - 60 °C
Renew the gasket
Cycle through the gears, pausing in each gear for 2 - 3 seconds
Fill with 5.0 litres of oil
Engine running at idle speed
Check the oil level
Cycle through the gears, pausing in each gear for 2 - 3 seconds
Special tools
Raise the vehicle
Diagnostic tool: (GDS)
Ensure the vehicle is horizontal
Torque settings
Remove the oil level plug
Filler plug (3 - 5 Nm)
Gearbox drain plug: (34 - 44 Nm)
