Light Gage Truss Design Summary

This document summarizes the design of a light gage steel truss and jamb/column. It provides the input data, design criteria, analysis, and checks the member capacities. The truss has a 24 ft span, 4 ft depth, and is designed for 300 lbs/ft of sloped dead load and 240 lbs/ft of projected live load. The analysis determines member forces and deflections under load combinations using finite element analysis. It checks that all member capacities are adequate based on their steel properties and sections. Similarly, the jamb/column design checks the vertical member capacities against the specified service loads.
