Q1. What should you consider when choosing any network topology? (01 Marks)
Ans: We should consider budget, size of network, network reliability and a well-
connected topology.

Q2. Which of the following network topologies contains a backbone which runs
the length of the network? (01 Marks)
Ans: Bus topology contains a backbone.

Q3. What piece of hardware is usually at the center of a star network? (01Marks)
Ans: Concentrator /hub is at the center of star network.

Q4. What would happen to the entire network if one of the nodes in the bus-wired
network failed? (01 Marks)
Ans: If one node fails then all nodes will be affected as they share same cable for
sending and receiving information.

Q5. What are the main advantages of a star network? (01 Marks)
Ans:
 It is reliable if one network fails it doesn’t affect other networks.
 Hub detects the faults and isolates the faulty computer.
 Easy to install, remove or replace the host or other devices.
 Use multiple cable types in same network with the hub.
