C - STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK , ROOF AND CLADDING :
Notes: (the following notes shall be applicable to all relevant
items in this Bill of Quantities) The quoted rates in the
schedule below shall include a). One coat of zinc chromate
primer & two coats of approved make 1st quality synthetic
enamal paint, after cleaning the steel members thoroughly.
Back to back portion shall be painted before fabrication. Top
chord of truss, purlin, cladding runners, and similar surfaces
shall be painted before putting roofing or cladding sheets and
final touch up after fixing of roofing /cladding or other
covering wherever applicable. b.) Surface preparation shall be
done thoroughly before application of primer paint. c.)
Proper greasing of Bolt threads. (d). "In-situ" welding for
connection wherever required and as directed. (e.) Ready
made Nuts, bolts and washers as per requirement. (Holding
down bolts/anchor bolts will be paid separately) (f.) Loading,
unloading, rehandling of structural steel and sheeting within
the site (g.) Preparation of shop / fabrication drawing for
approval and preparation of surface by sand blasting. (h)
Adequate temporary support , fastnerThe structural steel
shall conform to IS 2062 and be of E250 (Fe 410W) grade .For
general purpose like grills, window frame, hand rails, guard
bars etc.

Fabricating, hoisting and erecting in position structural steel
works using Plates (Minimum 345MPa-Yield strength) and
Standard Extruded Sections, ( in Portal frames ,wind columns,
trusses) at all elevations, levels and heights including aligning,
levelling, etc. complete conforming to latest IS 2062 (Fe 490)
,including straightening, cutting, welding, bending to shape,
bolting, cleaning the rust and scales to the satisfaction of
Consultant & EIC inclusive of Sand blasting and providing and
applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of
approved zinc chromate primer all as specified and as

tools, tackles, cranes, devices and plants, bolts, nuts, washers,
clamps, welding electrodes and connection required for work,
shims and packing pieces, any cutting, fabrication work
required on electrically operated machines in the work shop
including transportation to site a approval and preparation of
surface by sand blasting. (h) Adequate temporary support ,
