Large bead

BOOKMARK Accent beads
Simply wrap around the book where you left 

off, draw beaded end through loop and pull

To make tight chains - while holding bottom 



of stitch with one hand and holding top of yarn
loop on hook to keep from sliding with the other
hand, pull up hook to form a tight stitch.

If you find that pulling the tassel and beads


through the loop too fussy for you, simply
make the tight chain segment longer to form 

a larger loop.

Attach beads
Materials
Feed tails through beads and slide up chain.
‣ Small amount of Schachenmayr Catania, 

Paton’s Grace or equivalent weight cotton Make & attach tassel
‣ Pretty bead with a large hole
Cut 8 pieces of yarn the length you’d like your
‣ 3 accent beads with a large hole
tassel to be allowing for trimming. Fold strands 

‣ Crochet hook size E / 3.5mm
‣ Smaller steel crochet hook, any usable size in half and using a small crochet hook, pull loop
up through bead. Adjust to even and smooth
Length fits an average size hardback book. out strands. Using the tails from the bookmark,
insert one tail through the top loop of the tassel
Leaving a 12" tail, chain 120 normally, then and tie. Using a small crochet hook, pull tails
tightly chain 20. through bead to blend into tassel. Readjust
Make bead loop & chain strand strands as needed to smooth out. Trim tassel
ends evenly.
Working in back ridge of chain, skip tight chains,
slip stitch in first normal chain and every chain to ta-da!
