Lease Contract Setup
1. Log into Oracle and click on the Lease Contract Creator, Stratasys US responsibility.
2. Click on Lease, this will open up an HTML page
3. On Home Tab, you can view, search and create new contracts
4. Click on the Go button near the top of the page to search for contracts
5. Click on Go button to create new contract
6. Enter the following information on the contract header form (use template to default as much as
possible):
a. Source = Contract Template
b. Contract Template = SSUS_LEASE_TEMPLATE (Lease)
c. Contract # will auto number
7. Click Continue
8. Make note of the Contract #
9. Description – Leave Blank (unless otherwise defined in a std business procedure)
10. Enter Customer Name (if customer does not exist, contact Order Management team)
11. Enter Customer Account (enter %, then tab)
12. Enter Customer Bill-to Address (enter %, then tab)
13. Under Rental Period, enter the following
a. Effective From Date (start of 1st invoice to be created)
b. Term (# of months for this contract)
c. Acceptance Date = Stratasys Signed Date
d. Date Signed = Customer actual
14. Additional Information
a. Enter Sales Order in Additional Information (reference to Order #)
b. Enter business unit if Solidscape or Markerbot
15. Click Configuration Tab
a. Click on ‘Create’ button under Asset section (capital leases do not have assets, but this drives
functionality downstream in this process)
i. Enter Asset Number (Use Contract # as it must be unique)
ii. Enter Item Description (must pick from LOV for product leased from inventory)
iii. Enter Description (can copy item description)
iv. Units = 1 (or how many leased)
v. Unit Cost (Total Value of Order should be entered here)
vi. Asset Key = NONE.NONE
vii. Install Site – Required value (enter %, then tab) - (if address does not exist, contact
Order Management team before moving forward as you cannot save this record)
viii. Click Apply
b. Hit the Go button under the Asset Number field
c. Click on the hyperlink for the asset just entered above
d. Click update button
e. Under Payments Tab, click the Create button
f. Enter all types of payments here, RENT (same as Lease), Admin, Freight, Misc Fee, etc
i. Payment Type = RENT
ii. Frequency = Monthly
iii. Structure = Level
iv. Leave Arrears disabled
v. Periods = # of months entered on lease header for term
vi. Payment Amount = Total Principal/interest to be paid by customer each month
vii. Click Apply
viii. Click on Billing Tab
1. Click Update button
2. Enter Bill To Address (enter %, then tab)
3. Click Apply
ix. Click on Serial Numbers Tab
1. Click Update
2. Enter Serial Number (must be unique across all contracts)
3. Click Apply
x. Click ‘Return to Configuration’ hyperlink at bottom left side of page
g. Click on Additional Charges tab (You will enter addt’l fees here, Admin, Freight and Misc)
i. Click Create ‘Income’ Add button
1. To be used only for the following options:
a. Admin
b. Freight
c. Misc
d. Lease Maintenance
2. Fee = Admin Fee
3. Total Income Amount = 100
4. Effective From = Defaults to contract Start Date
5. Effective To = Defaults to contract end date
6. Click Apply
7. Click Update
8. Click on Create Payment button
a. Enter Payment Type = ADMIN FEE
b. Frequency = Monthly (or quarterly, annual, etc)
c. Structure = Level
d. Leave Arrears disabled
e. Periods = 1 (or the # in which you want to bill this fee)
f. Payment Amount = 100
g. Click Apply
h. Click Apply
i. Repeat for additional fees for Lease contract
h. Click on Payments Tab
i. Verify all payments are correctly stated for the contract
i. Click Summary Tab
i. Review Properties
ii. Click Activate Contract button
iii. Click Continue (all Errors MUST be fixed, but Warnings may be bypassed) – if errors
exist, must take a screenshot of the errors to be fixed and click cancel – then fix errors
and come back to Activate Contract
iv. Click Price button
v. After Yields are processed w/ values, Click Submit Button
16. Contract is Booked (entries are processed by running concurrent programs that may be scheduled or run
by another user)
Rental Contract Setup
1. Log into Oracle and click on the Lease Contract Creator, Stratasys US responsibility.
2. Click on Lease, this will open up an HTML page
3. On Home Tab, you can view, search and create new contracts
4. Click on the Go button near the top of the page to search for contracts
5. Here you can either duplicate an existing contract or create a new one by clicking on the Create Contract
GO button
6. Enter the following information on the contract header form (use template to default as much as
possible):
a. Source = Contract Template
b. Contract Template = SSUS_RENTAL_TEMPLATE (Rental)
c. Contract # will auto number
7. Click Continue
8. Make note of the Contract #
9. Description – Leave Blank (unless otherwise defined in a std business procedure)
10. Enter Customer Name - (if customer does not exist, contact Order Management)
11. Enter Customer Account (enter %, then tab)
12. Enter Customer Bill-to Address (enter %, then tab)
13. Under Rental Period, enter the following

14. Additional Information
a. Product Line Segment - Maintenance Fee (Rental Only) = GL Segment required if Maintenance
Fees exists on the contract
b. Product Line Segment - AR Sales (Rental Only) = GL Segment required for all rental contracts for
accounting purposes
c. Enter Sales Order in Additional Information (reference to Order #)
d. Enter business unit if Solidscape or Markerbot
15. Click Configuration Tab

ii. Enter Item Description (must pick from LOV for product leased from inventory)
iii. Enter Description (can copy item description)
iv. Units = 1 (or how many leased)
v. Unit Cost (Total Value of Rental Contract should be entered here)
vi. Asset Key = NONE.NONE
vii. Install Site – Required value (enter %, then tab) - (if address does not exist, contact
Order Management team before moving forward as you cannot save this record)
viii. Fixed Asset Location – Pick from LOV (USA if other unavailable)
b. Under the Depreciation section (Should involved the Fixed Asset group)
i. Category (Machines.Rental Unit)
ii. Depreciation Method – OBJ FLAT (20 %)
iii. In Service Date defaults from date delivered (must be in current period for corp/tax
books or will fail booking)
iv. Depreciation Cost = X (must equal total of all items on the rental sales order w/ a query
of the material transaction for this order)
v. Enter Tax Books – both STRATASYS AMT and STRATASYS FED w/ valid cost, depreciation
methods/lives (get from Fixed Asset resource)
vi. Category (Machines.Rental Unit)
vii. Depreciation Method – OBJ FLAT (20 %)
viii. Click Apply
c. Hit the Go button under the Asset Number field
d. Click on the hyperlink for the asset just entered above
e. Click update button
f. Under Payments Tab, click the Create button

Prepaid Commmissions, etc
i. Payment Type = RENT
ii. Frequency = Monthly
iii. Structure = Level
iv. Leave Arrears disabled

vi. Payment Amount = Total Principal/interest to be paid by customer each month
vii. Click Apply
viii. Click on Billing Tab
1. Click Update button
2. Enter Bill To Address (enter %, then tab)
3. Click Apply

i. Repeat for additional fees for Lease contract
j. Note: ***If you book a fee like Maintenance Income for all periods of
a contract (for example 24 months), the total of the fee must be the 24
periods X the monthly amount on the header of the fee. If $100 if
required monthly, the total is set to $2400 but the monthly amount
will be $100.
k. If a contract is rebooked at any time and new fees are added. For
Example, additional lease maintenance of $50 per month is added, it
must be a new line, you CANNOT update an existing line if contract
has already been booked, it will not create the correct entries in GL
upon rebooking.
i. Click on Payments Tab
i. Verify all payments are correctly stated for the contract
j. Click Summary Tab
i. Review Properties

After contract is booked, you may log into Lease Center Manager, Stratasys US to:
Changing lease invoice notes or admin notes
Update DFF in Lease Center
Export Amortization Schedule or Payment schedule (principal/interest)
Lease Notes
1. To update lease notes after finding your lease contract above, click on the ‘All Notes’ button the
Overview Tab in lease center.
2. Default value or note type is ‘Invoice’, these will print on all of these customer’s invoices going
forward. If you do not want them to print on the invoice, change the type to ‘Administrative’ or
‘Other’. You can create new ‘Invoice’ type notes at any time.
Update DFF Values
1. On the main lease page in lease center in the header, click on the in the middle right
area of the page
2. This opens the following page in order to update the existing DFF values
Export Amortization Schedule or Payment schedule (principal/interest)
1. Click on the Schedule tab in lease center
2. Click on the Type field and pick Amortization Schedule
3. Send Documents button does not work at this time, but you can export this schedule by
right clicking on the first line, pick ‘Copy all rows’. Open up excel and paste it.

Down Payment steps
1. Run generate accruals master –Streams to generate the monthly accruals for Loan contracts as below. This
program processes all contracts with the Revenue Recognition Method of Streams. The accrual process enables
recognition of the periodic income and expense for a contract to satisfy accounting requirements.
2. Run the “Create accounting for Oracle Lease and Financial management” program from lease administrator
responsibility with below parameters. The Create Accounting process generates subledger journal entries for the
accounting events. For example, when a contract is booked, the booking transaction is generated. When the
transaction is generated, Lease and Finance Management creates an accounting event for the booking of the
transaction.
3. Run the billing by submitting the below programs in order
a. Master Program -- Process Billable Streams – Contracts – This process concurrent program identifies
contracts with streams due for billing and creates billing items.
b. Master Program -- Receivables Invoice Transfer Transfers Oracle Lease and Finance Management billing
transactions to Receivables interface.
c. Autoinvoice Master program from receivables manager responsibility – Creates the invoices in AR for
Leasing Contracts
4. Validate the invoice in AR.
5. Run the create accounting program from receivables manager responsibility as below
Differences between Operating (Rentals) and Capital (Loan) Lease products
All FA integration is done at time of booking of rental products – no interface is necessary. The asset
