Instructional Screencast Task Analysis

Task Analysis
I conducted a procedural analysis to gather as much relevant information as possible. I
conducted a procedural analysis because the content of this task analysis is mostly procedural.
To do this, I created an outline of all the steps necessary to create a Google Classroom class and
add students to the class.

Task Analysis Outline


1. Login to the Gwinnett County Employee Portal
2. Open Google Classroom
a. Select the “tools” tab located in the middle of the screen
b. Select G-Suite for education
c. Click the hamburger button located in the upper right hand corner
d. Click Classroom
3. Creating a class
a. Select the + button in the upper right hand corner then select create class
b. Type the name of your class- this step is required
c. You may add the section, room or subject
4. Adding students
a. Class Code
i. From the homepage of your class, select the class code. This will enlarge
your unique code.
ii. Students go to “join a class” on their device and type in the code
b. Adding students by email
i. click the “People” tab at the top
ii. click the “Invite Students” button (an icon with a person and a plus)
iii. Add each students’ individual email address
