SETTING LEAK PRESSURE PROCEDURE FOR PSV

Set up the pressure safety valve on the PSV test bench

Loose the adjusting screw and increase the pressure using a controlled external pressure source untill all air is removed and test fluid leaks free of air

Load the Dead Weight Tester with the weights corresponding to the PSV required Leak pressure.

Tight the adjusting screw to increase the leak setting while giving pressure until the approximate pressure setting is reached.

Fine tune the leak pressure by the adjusting screw until the PSV starts to leaks as required.

Repeat the operation and record the leak pressure ensuring repeatibility of the leak at the same pressure.
