STUDENTS IN MINISTRY
Our students have plenty of opportunities to activate the giftings God has given them as we
equip them to bring revival wherever they go.
HEALING ROOMS
The Healing Rooms ministers to those in need of physical healing. Each week
we serve between 200 to 400 guests—many who come from all over the world. There are
options to minister on different teams including artists, greeters, dancers, worship teams,
video calls, testimony recording, class teachers, and intercessors.
CONFERENCES
Bethel Church encourages and empowers BSSM students to get involved in the events
happening throughout the year. Opportunities to serve include but are not limited to prayer or
prophetic ministry, hospitality, event security, parking, ushering, kitchen help and event
registration.
MINISTRY TEAM
The Ministry Team serves as the prayer team during church services and at Bethel
conferences. You will get hands on experience ministering to, praying for, and prophesying
over people from around the world.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Be a part of guiding children into their identity in Christ, bringing them into encounters with
God and His works, and teaching them to develop healthy lifestyles and relationships.
Serving the Nations
We offer many ministry and mission trips throughout the year as we activate students
to catalyze God encounters in regions across the world. Teams range from two to two
hundred or more people and we offer both domestic and international trips.
SHORT TERM MISSIONS
We have established beautiful connections with churches, missionaries, and leaders
throughout the world and love sending BSSM teams to encourage and serve their ministries.
In the months of preparation leading up to your trip, you and your team will first be developed
as a unified body that is built around vulnerability and empowerment. We aim for cultural
transformation to first happen within the dynamics of your team, and then outwardly as you
go into all the nations.
OUR VISION
As Bill Johnson says, “We owe the world an encounter with Jesus.” We seek to demonstrate
God’s grace, His unconditional love and transforming power to see the sons and daughters of
God in all nations awaken to His goodness and love.
WE DESIRE
o To display the glory of God and to impart the Kingdom of Heaven wherever we go.
o To build relationship with our global community by serving, honoring, and adding strength to
their ministry.
o To be challenged and go to new levels as leaders.
o To build strong relationships on our teams and to create an atmosphere where individuals
know their place and their significance on the team.
o To activate the trip’s team members.
o To encounter God in new ways and bring people into these encounters.
o To continue to see increase, going from glory to glory.
o To see Jesus get the full reward of His suffering.
Serving Our Community
BSSM is part of an apostolic house, and we believe in launching our students into the
practical application of what is taught in class. Throughout the year, students are equipped
and sent out to impact different spheres of culture—to be naturally supernatural everywhere,
regardless of vocation.
CITY SERVICE
City Service activates students for hands on ministry by sending students into the
communities in and around Redding. Students learn to walk out a supernatural lifestyle of
evangelism and service. Goals for City Service include learning to share your testimony and
leading someone to Christ, confronting fears in evangelizing to strangers, learning to pray and
heal the sick, and giving encouraging prophetic words. Students learn more about City
Service once school starts.
Second Year City Service provides a greater emphasis on leadership development, and
students are expected to lead by activating and empowering their teams.
CITY PROJECT
City Project blesses the employees and families of Redding through community work projects
such as raking leaves, mulching, trimming trees, and collecting trash. This ministry is both a
City Service as well as a Revival Group activation in which Revival Groups are assigned to a
rotation of two City Projects during the year.
CITY WIDE IMPACT
Bethel has grown in favor with city leaders and our service to the community continues to
make lasting impact. In 2015, 12,000 hours were given towards city projects, 13,732 people
received prayer in the Healing Rooms, 2,760 prophetic ministry sessions were given, and
12,000 breakfasts were served to the homeless on Sunday mornings.
