BIOFUELS

Introduction

The biofuels in one of the most necessary resources in the world,

because we want to change of the common fuels, The idea starts when
the petroleum’s been in the XX, for the use to move the first cars.

Petroleum was easy found because existed all of it, and very cheap. So,
after it’s become a oil very more expensive than other oils.

And the environment began to chance with different weathers because

forget oil from the ground.

So, it began to change the oils what we use in the daily life, the new oils
are most friendly the environment

Objective

 To find new oils fuels what will change the petroleum and others polluting
oils aren’t good the environment
 Try to change the mind of the who believe that the biofuel is not a good
idea, and encourage the use of this

Development

The performance, conversion and kinetics of the transesterification reaction

influence different variables such as the quality of the raw material, the type and
quantity of catalyst, the type of alcohol, the alcohol or oil molar ratio and the
reaction conditions such as temperature, pressure and agitation

From the chemical point of view, they are oxoalkyl esters of long-chain fatty
acids, derived from lipids, which can be used in compression ignition engines.
The properties of biodiesel are very similar to those of diesel of fossil origin.

Biodiesel has a flash point higher than diesel.

Biodiesel can be mixed with diesel in any desired proportion and even replace it
completely

On the first slide we have

What is it ?

It is a liquid biofuel produced from vegetable oils and animal fats.

On the second slide we have

• From the chemical point of view they are monoalkyl esters of long-chain
fatty acids, derived from lipids, which can be used in compression ignition
engines.

On the fourth slide we have

Advantages of its use

World Stage

• Several countries are developing policies for the development of biofuels.

• Bioenergy will generate a new demand for these products and offer the
opportunity to convert them into biofuels, giving greater added value to oils of
vegetable and animal origin in an almost immediate term.

• The generation of biomass to meet the energy needs of the European

Community is a challenge.

On the eigth slide we have

In Ecuador

There is the Arc company, which is responsible for collecting and storing
recycled cooking oils and then sending them to the Netherlands to be
transformed into biodiesel.

If you live in a sunny region, you can use a solar panel to heat and power your
home. Solar panels can also complement your use of electricity, saving you
money. According to "The Homeowner's Guide to Renewable Energy" by Dan
Chiras, some places have a net balance program, which allows you to have
solar panels that return electricity to the power grid. Some states have laws that
require electricity companies to accredit you of the electricity you provide to the
grid. According to the US Department of Energy, with the net balance program,
you can use your own power generation to provide electricity to the grid and
receive money for the energy you produce. Solar panels are just one way to
produce electricity to supply it to the grid.

Conclusions

 The oil fuels are although the number of times the raw material (oil) has
been used must be defined, because only in this way can the results be
properly compared.
 As each panel converts little electricity, providing power to a house or
building requires many panels, which can take up a considerable amount
of space.
