Sulphuric Acid and Demineralized Water Specificationsfor Opzs Type Batteries

Sulphuric acid and demineralized water used for filling OPzS type batteries must meet strict purity specifications. Sulphuric acid specifications limit various metal impurities to less than 1 mg/L each, except for iron which is limited to 30 mg/L. Demineralized water specifications similarly limit metal impurities to less than 1 mg/L each. The pH of demineralized water should be between 5-7 and its conductivity must not exceed 10 or 30 micro Siemens per cm depending on the measurement point.
