Topic: Active and Passive Voice

What is Active and Passive voice?

Active Voice: The focus is on the Subject. We are aware of the Subject (faail-kaam karne wala)
and importance is given to subject. E.g I read a book. (S+V+O)

Passive Voice: The focus is on the Object. Sometimes we do not find any subject in passive
voice and more importance is given to object (mafool- jis per kaam kiya jaye). E.g
The book is read (by me). (O+V+S)

Transitive Verb: A verb which is unable to convey its complete meaning is transitive verb. E.g
I eat mangoes. He writes a letter. We play Cricket. They watch T.V.

Intransitive Verb: A verb that does not need any object to convey its complete meaning. E.g
I sleep. He laughs. The sun rises. The bird flies.

Note: We cannot make passive voice of Intransitive verb.

Some Examples:
1.I read a book.

3. He will go to college.
4. You are invited.
