Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Department of Instrumentation runs a student’s section
under International Society for Automation named as Vishwakarma Institute of Technology
Students Section.
About ISA
The International Society for Automation is a non-profit technical society for engineers,
technicians, educators and students who work, study or are interested in industrial automation
and pursuits related to it such as instrumentation. ISA is one of the foremost professional
organizations in the world foe setting standards and educating industry professionals in
automation. Instrumentation and automation are some key technologies involved in nearly all
industrialized manufacturing and ISA provides leadership and education in the professions that it
serves, assisting students in keeping pace with rapidly changing industry.

Students received ISA scholarship: Two students of Instrumentation Engineering Department
received the scholarship from International Society of Automation (ISA). Our student Shreyash
Dighe was the first in India to receive a sum of $1250 and Yogesh Darade was 6th in place to
receive sum of $500.

Activities carried in year 2014-15
1. State Level Project Competition
The Instrumentation department of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, in association
with ISA, Pune had organized a state level project competition for all the final year students from
the circuit branches of Engineering on June 10th, 2015. The main objective of the Head of the
Department, Prof. Pramod Kanjalkar, was to provide a platform for students to showcase their
innovative engineering through their final year projects. The competition received a footfall of
60 participating teams from over 30 colleges. The projects covered domains like process control,
signal processing, embedded systems, robotics, etc.
2. Celebration of Engineer’s Day 2014
Engineers Day was celebrated on 26th Sept, 2014 in the department. Chief Guest for the
function were “Mr. Yogesh Gurjar” Managing Director, Dispomed Incorporate and
Dispotronics.

1. Guest lecture was organized in department by Prof. Archana Chaudhari under ISA
students chapter for Second Year B. Tech. Students on “ In Pursuit of excellence from
Campus to Corporate” on 27th Jan 2015. The lecture was conducted by Mr. C. S.
Dhamankar General Manager Technical division, Forbes Marshall, Pune.
2. Guest Lecture on “Basics of Measurement Units- Relevance of SI (International System
)” organized on 13th Sept 2014 by Mr. Ramani Iyer from Forbes Marshall, Pune for

Jan 2015.

“Circuit making using Proteus software” by Prof. Sujit Deokar on 17th Jan 2015.
3. One day workshop conducted under ISA student section for Second Year students on
