Last Saturday
Carlos and Irma weren’t home. They were in the country all weekend. I was
worried because they were lost. Were Valentin and Isabel at the party? No, they
weren’t for most people Pelé was one of the best soccer players in the world. What
was your favorite subject in high school? It was math.

Dough: Where were you last night, Martin? I called you but you weren’t at home.
Martin: No, I wasn’t. Betty and I were a friend’s house. We had dinner there and
then watched TV.
Dough: Did you watch a film?
Martin: No, there was a boxing match on Channel 7. It was great, but the girls
were upset!
Dough: They hate boxing, right?
Martin: Yes, and there wasn’t another TV in the house.
