Sampling Principles in Anemia Research

This study used a stratified random sampling design to identify determinants of anemia in 2090 rural Filipino preschool children aged 12-71 months. Data was collected using a cross-sectional method measuring anthropometry, iron status, diet, helminth infections, socioeconomics, and clinical variables from preschoolers in 8 rural villages. The research objective was to determine if iron deficiency leads to anemia using operational definitions for both.
