Study Plan

My name is 鐘金花. I am 19 years old and I was born in Indonesia as the youngest child of my family. I
decided to learn Chinese language deeper because I’ve always been interested with Chinese since I was
in primary school. Other than that, there are so many of my family member can speak Chinese too.
Sometimes, I get confused when they talked to each other in Chinese and I just can wondered what they
are talking about. So it makes me more excited to learn Chinese.

My oldest sister, alumni of NCKU Chinese Language Center, strongly recommended me to learn Chinese
in NCKU CLC. She said that NCKU CLC is considered as one of the best language center in Taiwan. So by
the end of February 2020, I came to Taiwan to study Chinese in NCKU Chinese Language Center. I
started my first class on 16th March 2020 as an A1 class student and I really enjoy every time that I’ve
spent in NCKU CLC. The teachers always encourage us endlessly and it makes me feel no burden in
learning Chinese. They use their best way to teach us and teach patiently, so we won’t feel bored. I can
feel my improvement and see my classmate’s improvement as well. And also, they are very considerate
of us, they always ask if there is something we don’t understand. It makes me feel comfortable and
always excited to study here. As long as I’ve lived here, I realized that Taiwan has a rich and colorful
culture, it has so many foreigners, many foreign industries, and it improves greatly time by time.
Taiwan’s education system also has a very good reputation and high quality. This condition will be an
advantage for foreign student like me to learn new knowledges and gain much experiences.

I’m planning to extend my studies at NCKU CLC for a year. After that, I will take TOCFL test and also
continue my study in Taiwan as a university student. If I get the scholarship that NCKU CLC offered, I will
study hard and do my best. I will take the advantage to get better and better. I won’t waste the
opportunity that NCKU CLC give to me. I can’t speak Chinese really well right now, but I believe in myself
that I will someday. I have the strong will and spirit to always getting better and being the best one. So,
I’m sure it won’t be such a waste to give me this opportunity. I know it’s not easy but I will give my best
perform and finish my Chinese class with great academic achievement.
