Comments: Maitha provided quality fraction videos that were relevant to the
lesson and kept the students engaged in the lesson.

Planning for Learning F D C B A


Comments: Maitha began the lesson by clearly stating the lesson objectives and
expressed what the students were expected to learn after the lesson was
complete.

Managing Learning F D C B A
Comments: Maitha incorporated various strategies throughout the lesson that
provided an effective learning environment. Acknowledging students who were
participating and who were not participating encouraged students to stay focused
during the lesson

Comments: She continued to praise the students throughout the lesson which
increased the engagement of many of the students.

Comments: Maitha put forth an effort to informally assess the students by asking
them to write there answers into the messaging space but many students did not
respond.

Comments: After the lesson, Maitha discussed with me various ways to try and
get more student participation during the times she was formally assessing them.
She also reflected on the relativeness of the video she showed and rather I
thought it was affective in contributing to the students understanding of fractions.
