The class will form three groups; each will be given sets of idiomatic expressions and they will
match the meaning on the folder given to them.

They will come up with the following:


a. Apple of my eye- one’s favorite person
b. Bite the dust- to die
c. Rub each other’s elbow/noses- to meet or be with someone socially
d. Wolf in sheep’s clothing- a person in disguise
e. Apple pie order- arranged very neat or perfect

D. Analysis

F. Generalization
Answer these questions.

1. What tragic incident happened to the family of the prince?


2. How did the fly and the spider help the prince survive his close encounter with death?
3. What lesson in life did the prince learn at the end?

G. Application
Explain- “There is a purpose for everything God made..even the flies and the spiders.” Be able to cite real-
life situations to support your answer.

H. Evaluation
Create a Story Sequence about the folktale
