3.03 Waterproofing Treatment to External Surface of Retaining Wall (unconfined areas)
Supplying and Installing Membrane, a self adhesive, cold applied, flexible 1.6mm thick waterproofing
membrane comprising of a self adhesive bitumen compound laminated onto an impervious, non-
perforated, cross laminated HDPE film / Veleron Film, applied on the external surface of the retaining M2 RO MasterSeal 726 ₹ 360.00 20M*1M*1.5mm Roll
wall post construction and after deshuttering is done:
The membrane shall have following minimum properties :
1) Elongation of 230% (as per ASTM D 882)
2) Puncture resistance of 220N (ASTM E 154)
3) Tensile Strength 42N/mm2 (as per ASTM D 882)
4) Resistance to Hydrostatic head of over 50 m (BS EN 12390 (Part 8))
5) Tear resistance of 340N (ASTM D 1004)
6) Should provide protection against water and vapour and should provide excellent resistance to
chlorides, sulphates, alkalis and acids.
The membrane shall be applied as per following procedure
Roll out membrane, cut it to manageable lengths and stick it to the surface by peeling off the release
paper on the back of the membrane. Press membrane in place. Adjacent rolls to come on 50mm
overlaps lines printed on the membrane. Roll the laps and joints by hand roller.
Applying the membrane till entire area is covered upto 300mm height above G.L. and tuck the
membrane into a groove cut into the concrete surface and seal the groove with a approved liquid
sealant / PU sealant.
Providing and fixing 8 mm thk Dimpled Drain board / 25 mm thk expanded polystyrene protection
board, over the waterproofing membrane for vertical surface stuck to the membrane by spot bonding
method, using synthetic adhesive with butt joints etc. complete. Necessary back filling to be done by
the main civil contractor within 2-3 days time progressively after installation of the membrane and
protection board , taking care not to cause damage to the waterproofing treatment .
Providing and fixing 6 mm Thk expanded polyethylene protection board or dimple drain board, over the
waterproofing membrane for vertical surface stuck to the membrane by spot bonding method, using
synthetic adhesive with butt joints etc. complete. Necessary back filling to be done by the main civil
contractor within 2-3 days time progressively after installation of the membrane and protection board ,
taking care not to cause damage to the waterproofing treatment .
Treatment to construction joints and junctions of the Raft Slab and Junctions with Diaphragm Wall.
3.04
Providing and fixing 20mm x 5mm hydrophillic Swellable waterstop fixed at construction joints in the
raft slab and Diaphrgam / retaining wall etc complete.

shrink waterproof cementitious mortar and carrying out injection grouting to the RCC surface at
honeycombs, voids, cracks, leaking spots etc., in the raft / retaining wall /diaphragm wall etc.,
wherever required as per our judgement, to full saturation, using non shrink, ready to use, Kg QRO MasterFlow 718 ₹ 8.00
cementitious grouting compound, using gravitational pressure/ Grout pump etc. complete.
3.06 Treatment with Resin Based Injection Grouting on need based requirement
Injection grouting to be carried out at Honeycombs and voids or, at construction joints, leaking spots
etc., with polyurethane grout / low viscosity epoxy resin grout. Providing and fixing mechanical
injection packers of 100 - 125 mm length of 5 to 6 mm dia such that embedded within the surfaces by
minimum 25 mm sealing around the packer with epoxy putty and thereafter grouting the injection
packers using combination of polyurethane foam based grout and low viscosity flexible polyurethane
permanent resin based grout or low viscosity poly acrylate resin based grout of reputed make, using
hand operated pressure grout pump to full saturation wherever required, complete.

SUPERSTRUCTURE
3.08 Waterproofing Treatment for Toilet area (Horizontal & Vertical areas)

pieces, laid over a bed of cement mortar (1:4) laying top layer in C.M (1:3) admixed with integral
waterproofing compound, keeping the surface broomed, curing and testing for water tightness for 7
days etc. complete.
3.08.4 Treatment around pipe entry/exit locations No. QRO
Providing and laying grout non shrink, free flow, high strength cementitious grout material to seal the
annular gap around pipe periphery and core cut in the slab including providing and applying a two way
adhesive tape to be stuck aorund the pipe periphery within the cutouts section of the slab and prior to
laying the grout or equvilent material, all as per manufacturer's recommendation & finally providing
and applying P.U.sealent around the top pipe periphery joints all as per manufactures recommendation
