The Power of Kindness
Make the world better.
We have a choice to chart our growth along the path of unmitigated greed and
cutthroat competition of some societies that have developed ahead of us and are
reaping the bad fruits of what they planted, or design a more responsible and positive
economy. Where money, technology, industry serve our shared humanity create
lasting peace and prosperity for all.
We have alot of problems, but we also have a choice, individually and
collectively, to simply curse the darkness, add to the groom and doom, poison the air
and die as cynics: or solve them together, at a great sacrifice of short-term
gratification, by drawing from the infinite wisdom and greatness of the human spirit to
built a robust inclusive economy, live a fulfilled life, and leave legacy of hope.
Integrity is the Key-more honest and authentic. Build spiritual path that build heaven
on earth.
It is about a change of hearth-cultivate a culture of caring and sharing that include
the poor as our family.
It’s rising from the Victimhood- how it is turning tragedy into opportunity. Adversity
has developed resiliency, tendency and solidarity in us.
It’s in the attitude- a positive attitude to life is something that no one can steal from
us. Responding by doing more good when bad things are done to us making us
bigger and stronger. The joy of caring and giving far outweighs the pain of hating and
losing.-Finding hope in the worst person.

Applying Subsidiarity in Business (Respect in Action)
3 sets of values inherent to subsidiarity
1. Trust and Accountability-giving as much individual responsibility as possible
and as much administrative support as necessary. Trust has to be earned, but in
order to be earned it has first to be given.
2. Cenralisation and Decentaralisation- moving decision making to the lowest
level possible and to the highest level necessary.
3. Standardisation and Innovation-While standards bring unity to organisational
life, uniformity may stifle discovery and innovation. Ensuring as much initiative
and innovation as possible can ease the negative effect of standardisation.
Practices that can help strengthen subsidiarity
1. Training and Development Budgets and Polices.resources devoted to
employee are an indicator of the value that an organisation attaches to subsidiarity.
2. Formal Structures to Mediate Participation.the degree to which an organisation
facilitates employee participation in decisions.
3. Percentage of Internal Promotion.ability to find within its existing workforce
skills that it seeks may indicate how deep subsidiarity is institutionalised.
4. Rates of Employee Turnover in Relation to Self-Development.exit interviews
may provide useful information about the reason of departure.
5. Employee Engagement Survey.seek employee’s satisfaction and personal
growth and engagement in the workplace.
6. Regular communication about Subsidiarity.Illustration of its current practices.
7. Empowerment and Interactive Leadership. Two key management skills
necessary for the practice of subsidiary.
8. Performance Evaluation.”what does not get measured does not get maanged”
