Description This formulation, made by diluting STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET, can help restore many worn, aged
finished wood surfaces such as floors and furniture. At the dilution of this formulation, it is just
strong enough to soften a surface’s top layer of gloss coating in 1 to 2 minutes dwell time,
providing deep cleaning of embedded soil. This also helps to fill in damaged and worn areas
when spread around and left to dry. This formulation works on all surfaces that are softened by
STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET, such as industrial or oil-based painted surfaces, or finished wood
surfaces. By softening the upper portion of the coating, STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET allows for
deep cleaning of embedded dirt.

Procedure 1. Charge Soft Water or Deionized Water in mixing vessel.
2. Mix in STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET until homogeneous.

Instructions Test on a small inconspicuous area before use. Apply generously across the surface, including
for Use less worn areas. Allow to dwell 1 to 2 minutes, then wipe the entire surface to deep clean. For best
restored finish, repeat application and 1 to 2 minute dwell time. Wipe gently with non-absorbent
gloved hand with even strokes. Leave the surface wet to dry on its own for 10-60 minutes.
STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET can provide visual restorative effects to aged or worn finished wood and
industrial or oil-based painted surfaces. Once STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET is applied as directed to a
suggested surface, the top layer can exhibit properties allowing for redistribution of the coating,
sometimes resulting in a renewed appearance. Note that some surfaces have more or less gloss
coat, with varying degrees of age and hardness. Test a small area first and adjust the amount of
dwell time, more or less, for best results. A few surfaces have coatings that are hardened, and not
softened by this formulation, not be able to be restored with a water-based product.

STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET is a concentrated blend designed to be diluted. For consumer retail
products, the manufacturer should dilute STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET using Deionized Water or Soft
Water to ensure the best clarity. When this formulation is used "as is" as a nonaerosol hard
surface cleaner, this formulation is VOC-compliant with California Air Resource Board; (CARB)
Consumer Products regulation for nonaerosol furniture maintenance products (3% VOC limit as of
December 31, 2006). STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET as manufactured and sold by Stepan is
self-preserved. Since equipment and water quality used for dilution can potentially introduce
additional microbial challenges, it is the responsibility of the customer to confirm adequate
antimicrobial preservation for formulations containing STEPOSOL® CITRI-MET. *Note: The cloud
point of this formulation is 44 ºC (111 ºF), therefore at 50 ºC, the formulation will become hazy. The
formulation will fully recover to clarity when below the cloud point.
