breathe in to instrument producing white noise (brasses


and woodwinds)

gradually change from one way of playing to another

gradually accelerate starting with eight notes and ending


with thirty-second notes

gradually decelerate similarly

for all instruments: follow instructions to create various non


pitched sounds i.e. tapping instrument or pressing down

quickly overblow to create a harsh and loud multiphonic

let the wood of the bow bounce on the string (strings)

trill between normal finger pressure and node


finger pressure (strings)

play with the hair and wood of the bow, using circular
bowing, in a high register performing glissandi between
pitches ad lib (strings)

put the tip of the drumstick on cymbal and scratch it


creating a harsh, pitched sound (percussion)

drag Super ball stick in a circular motion across Tam-tam
