Graduation Project Smart system
Overall Idea of the Project:
Smart system is an integration of multiple technologies integrated to offer more flexible
system which coped with the development requirement.
There are prototypes of smart systems as well as smart systems that have reached the
state of commercial products.
In this project we will connect the cell phone to the microcontroller to make a remote
control system through the GSM network and connect the microcontroller directly to the
Ethernet to access to the network and make Telework on the system , and connect the
GPS to the microcontroller and cell phone to achieve the tracking system by sending the
co-ordinates every defined time to the system , and making the security system then
connect all of the microcontroller through a CAN BUS CONTROLLER to make the
communication between all parts of the system, , then using LabView software to make
GUI for the system .
The application of this system is refrigerators test line which check the quality of huge
number of refrigerators at the same time by taking the sensors results through the CAN
BUS then collect them to display on the GUI of the system using LabView software.
Project Contains:
1- CAN BUS CONTROLLER
2- Connect microcontroller TO Ethernet network.
3- Use LabView software to make GUI for the system.
4- Vehicle tracking system by using GPS chip.
5- Connecting microcontroller with cell phone.

Project Members Profile:
Goal of our project:
Facilitate the control of the production devices (inside and outside the factory).
Create a new style of management which allows the owner to control all devices
in the system either from inside or outside the company or factory.
Project Components:
1- GPS CHIP.
2- Microcontroller ICs.
3- Cell phones.
4- National instrument (NI USB-6216 DAQ): data acquisition card.
5- IP camera.
6- Keypad 4*4.
7- Sensors.
8- Electronic components.
9- Computer Touch screen.
Budget Projection:
The implementation of the project (building the circuits of the building blocks
mentioned above) requires buying high quality integrated circuits.
Moreover, resistor, capacitors, transformers, regulators and microcontrollers …etc is
required.
So, we expect that the fund required is about 10000 LE.
Need for Funding:
The fund will be used for buying the required components and devices.
Part of the fund will be devoted to the fabrication of the final system and the
preparation of the project book and documentations.
