Test 4

-essay-
After we have discussed in our previous lecture about the value of competitive sport
for young people, I am under the impression that sport has a significant impact on
their lifestyles. Two of the aspects discussed there are that it provides positive
attitude and healthy lifestyle.

To begin with, nowadays we are living in a century where people, especially

youngsters tend to spend much time playing computer games and it has proved to be
the main cause of isolation and depression. Therefore, competitive sports are a great
source of entertainment and it can provide them a positive attitude towards life. It
can also boost their confidence and improves their psychological well-being. Also
participating in any competitive sports improves their ability to handle pressure as
well as, teaching them how to lose and win graciously.

Secondly, a recent study shows that the number of young people suffering from
obesity and diabetes is going up. Taking up a sport can make children motivated to
eat healthier food in order to perform their best .Living a healthier life means that
children will be less likely to suffer from heart disease in the future and a range of
other conditions.

On the other hand, competitive sports can also make children be too self-esteemed
and they can develop a selfish behavior because they want to be the best. As a
result teenagers, will no longer help each other or cooperate due to this situation.

All in all, although competitive sports allow young people be positive and also
healthy,I am inclined to believe that the greatest value of this kind of sport is
improving not only their physical heath, but also their mental one because is reducing
the risks of eatind disorders and it brings a lot of healthy changes to teenagers
