MATLAB STANDALONE LICENSE ACTIVATION PROCEDURE

Step 1:
Click on the link that you received in your registered email from mathworks.

Step 2:
Login Using Registered mail id and temporary password.
Step 3:
Change the old password and set new password for your mathwork account.

Step 4:
Then, Accept the terms & condition and Click on Install and Activate tab,
Step 5:
Then, Click Activate to Retrieve License file tab,

Step 6:
Choose Matlab version that you want to install and give your machine details,
Step 7:
Then, If you already installed the software then Click Yes or else click No.

Step 8:
Then, click on Download License File button.
Step 9:
Save the license file in your local machine.

Step 10:
If already installed, delete the previous license file and paste new license file in the below
specified path.

For Windows:

Go to the installed path. By default, it’ll be in Local Disk C → Program Files → MATLAB →
R201x → licenses

For Linux:

Go to /usr/local/MATLAB/R201x/licenses/

For Mac:

Go to Applications and right click on Matlab icon. Then select “show package contents”.

In that, go to licenses folder.


Step 11:
If not yet installed, download the software & follow the installation guide which is given in
below link,
ftp://ccftp.iitm.ac.in/downloads/softwares/Matlab/

Note:

Use license file & the installation key that was downloaded from mathworks site. The key & license
file given in that ftp link will work only when connected with IITM internet hence it is a network
license.
