CLASSWORK GUIDELINES

Your group is a Travel Agency that organizes city tours including innovative services and transport. By the
end of these weeks (and for the exam) you will be able to describe the tourist product/service1, describe
the transport and type of journey2, make suggestions and give advice3, make comparisons4, and describe
a route with the timetable5 depending on your tourists’ holiday needs.

Classwork 1: Salesperson Vocabulary Quizlet

1. Organize yourself in groups of 4-5 students, you will work with them the rest of the sessions.
2. Students who change groups on Tue- Wed need to work together in the groups.
3. Go to Quizlet and complete the practice (individual work and I will explain this on 11/03/2020
4. Take a Print Screen of your work and send it to the professor at the end of the class.

Classwork 2: Presenting Products (to be sent by April 14th)

1. Google interesting services offered by travel agencies or hotels


2. In a PPT describe the products (include pictures and answer the questions):
a. What are the product features?
b. Which tourists needs will be satisfied?
c. Which tourists holiday needs are met with this product?
d. Include advice and suggestions
3. Upload the PPT to the Blackboard at the end of the class.

Classwork 3: Describing a transport for tourism and its timetable

1. Choose two innovative methods of travel (use Google for this)


2. Describe them using “transport words” on page 44
3. Describe the timetable of those transports
4. Prepare a PPT with images and upload it to the Blackboard at the end of the class
5. Revise the professors’ comments, and print them for Tuesday (May 29th)

Classwork 4: Comparing Transports in Tourism and Reading timetables

1. Your group will receive a case to be solved


2. Make comparisons between transports, suggests the best transports according to your case
3. Provide information related to the transport timetables
4. Upload your work to the Blackboard at the end of the class.
