The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) is a
technology acceptance model developed by Venkatesh, Morris, Davis
and Davis (2003).
It aims to predict and explain user intentions to use an information
system and subsequent usage behaviour.
The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT),
has been used extensively by researchers in their quest to explain IT
acceptance and use (Yogesh K. Dwivedi, Nripendra P. Rana, Anand
Jeyaraj, Marc Clement, Michael D. Willilams 2019)

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES
• study individual technology •Attitude partially mediates the effects
acceptance and use across a variety of of performance expectancy,
settings effort expectancy, facilitating
conditions, and social influence
•can be used to weigh the introduction • not all have access to use technology
of new technology , predict and explain and the facilities
the user’s behavior of accepting
information technology
•has been used extensively in explaining
the adoption of technologies by
individuals.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES
• Lesson will be more engaging •School in rural area might not have
access to the technology (facilities &
internet connections
•Improves knowledge retention • not all teachers are willing to use
•Encourage individual learning
•Teacher can use a lot of different
teaching tools
•Learning materials can be accessed
easily
