retirement such matters shall be placed before the Division Bench or Single Bench having the provision to dispose of the
main proceedings as per roster.
Applications/Petitions for Review/Clarification/Modification of the orders or Speaking to the Minutes to the Orders passed
by the Division Bench of which the Senior Judge/Junior Judge is not available on account of elevation, transfer or
retirement such matters shall be placed before the Division Bench consisting of the Junior Judge/Senior Judge of the
former Division Bench.
Applications/Petitions for Review/Clarification/Modification of the orders or Speaking to the Minutes to the Orders passed
by the Division Bench of which the Senior Judge is not available on account of elevation, transfer or retirement and the
Junior Judge is sitting Single such matters be placed before the Division Bench consisting of Hon'ble Mr .Justice
[Link] and the Junior Judge of the former Division Bench.

♦ Civil Contempt Petitions/Applications shall be listed before Hon’ble Judge or Judges in respect of whose Judgments,
Decree, Direction, Order, Writ or other process, the Contempt is alleged, for orders as to whether notice to be issued to the
alleged Contemner.
If the Judge or Judges concerned is/are not available in view of their sitting at Madurai/Madras or retirement or for any
other reasons, such applications shall be posted before the learned Single Judge or before the Division Bench, as the case
may be, according to the subject being dealt with.
If the Senior Judge/Junior Judge is not available on account of elevation, transfer or retirement such matters shall be
placed before the Division Bench consisting of the Junior Judge/Senior Judge of the former Division Bench.
If the Senior Judge is not available on account of elevation, transfer or retirement and the Junior Judge is sitting Single
such matters be placed before the Division Bench consisting of Hon'ble Mr .Justice [Link] and the Junior Judge of
the former Division Bench.

•All Bails and Anticipatory Bails which are part heard or Reserved for orders shall be placed before the Roster Bench, upon
change of Roster.

•Upon change of Roster, Part heard matters shall stand released and be placed before the Bench as per Roster. However, if
the parties or any of them make a request for retention of the matter before the Hon’ble Bench which had heard it, stating
that the matter had been heard for a considerable length of time and de novo hearing would not be expedient, and if the
Hon’ble Bench endorses the request, such matter may be placed before the Hon’ble The Chief Justice for being assigned to
the Hon’ble Bench which partly heard the matter

•Whenever any Court is of the opinion that there are case(s) pending before other Court(s) similar to the case(s) in hand
and it is necessary to tag matter(s) pertaining to other Court(s), with the case(s) which is listed before it, (or} any party
mentions before the Court that there are matters before other Court(s) which is/are similar to the case(s) on the list of that
Court and request for tagging, the Court shall direct the matters [Link] placed before the Hon'ble The Chief Justice for
tagging the matters and for placing the same before appropriate Court.

• Whenever a case is directed to be listed under the, caption "For Reporting Compliance", "For Compliance", "For Further
hearing", "For Filing Report", "For Recording Appearance", "For Recording Settlement", and etc., on a specific date, upon
change of Roster, the case shall stand released from the Court which passed such order, and shall be listed before the
Hon'ble Court as per Roster.
