DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Proper hand washing before and after procedure.
● Admission of patient, weight recording and checking vital signs including pain
assessment.
● Administration of medicines by implementing 10 rights.
● Plan, implementation and evaluation of nursing procedure.
● Maintain highest possible standard of patient care at all aseptic technique.
● Good rapport between patient and nurses.

● Prepare the patient for procedures like x-ray, CT Scan, Endoscopy,
Colonoscopy, ERCP, Echocardiogram and Dialysis.
● Provide comfortable position to the patient and change the position every
second hourly, provide back and skin care and assess and inform the skin
condition.
● Collect blood samples for investigations and doing ABG.
● Perform IV cannula insertion, oxygen administration, IV therapy, Blood
transfusion, wound dressing, Nasogastric tube insertion and feeding, urinary and
bladder catheterization, Bladder irrigation, central line care, suction and stitch
removal.
● Continuous cardiac monitor and close observation.
● Attending seminars, lectures and training programs.
● Initiate CPR during cardiopulmonary arrest.
● Make good relationship with colleagues and supervisors.
● Send diet chart to the dietitians according to the doctor’s order.
