SCRIPT

WEI: Good afternoon, passengers! This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight IM 100. We
are now inviting all medical students, clerks, post-graduate interns, residents, doctors and
guests to begin boarding at this time.

BOTH: Welcome to the annual Clinico-pathologic Conference of the Department of Internal


Medicine!

WEI: This is your cabin crew speaking. My name is Wei.

JIA: I am your cabin crew, Jia.

BOTH: And it is our pleasure to welcome you aboard!

WEI: Before we start the program, let us first put ourselves in the presence of the Lord.

JIA: Please remain standing for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem followed by the
DRTRMFI Hymn.

OBJECTIVES

WEI: The General Objective of this CPC is to present the case protocol on a patient who
presents with a progressive dyspnea, on and off fever, and non-productive cough.

JIA: The Specific Objectives, on the other hand, is to discuss the approach to a patient, to
present a concept map that links with the history, physical examination, progress,
pathophysiology and its diagnosis. And lastly to explore the analysis and reflection of the
diagnostic and management decisions.

WEI: Mabuhay!
JIA: Mabuhay tayong lahat, Wei!

WEI: Okay, that is all for this CPC *Jia interrupts*

JIA: Hindi Wei, magsisimula pa lang tayo!

WEI: Ay sorry! Oo nga pala. Hehe. Okay! So, without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, may we
call upon our moderator for the IM airlines, Dr. Ryan S. Mambulao, for the welcome address.

WELCOME ADDRESS BY DR. MAMBULAO

JIA: Thank you so much, Dr. Mambulao for that wonderful message. I hope that all the
passengers present here will be inspired to let their dreams take flight.

JIA: Alright! Passengers on board for Flight IM 102 from Los Angeles bound to Dubai. We ask
you to please fasten your seatbelt at this time and secure all baggage’s underneath your seats
and please turn off all your personal electronic devices such as laptops and cellphones.

WEI: Reminding everyone that this is a connecting flight from Los Angeles to Dubai, Dubai to
Manila, and finally from Manila to Calanipawan.

WEI: In command of this aircraft is Captain Plaza from the 2 nd year, as they shall be cruising
along the history and physical examination of our case.

HISTORY AND PHYSICAL EXAMINATION

WEI: Thank you, Captain Plaza, for that smooth sailing flight!

JIA: The cabin crew will now be coming around to offer you a light snack and beverage, and the
inflight games will now begin shortly to keep you entertained.
