ABSTRACT

In this project it is explained the development of a project that has been presented in
order to finish the degree in computer engineering. The content begins with an introduction
where are explained the motivations to undertake this project and the problem that is
pretended to solve in the scope of small sports clubs that are still performing their
management operations in a traditional way, by providing them with an IT solution in form
of intranet. From the research of current solutions that have similarities with the objectives
of this project, it has been set a plan to follow in the development of this project where
there have been distributed the tasks to develop over a temporal framework and there have
been evaluated its costs and the impact that the project has in the different dimensions of
the sustainability. This document presents the first version of the project that have been
developed, but over the time there will be added new features to extend the functionalities
and utilities that the solution will provide to their users.

Chapter I : Introduction
1.1 Background
Keep your club organized online and leave the details on the sidelines with ACTIVE’s sports
club management software. Easy to use and perfect for every sports on and off the field, our
club, manager software allows you to streamline registration, input team information, add
and drop players, schedule an entire session in a matter of minutes, and so much more.

There are 2 types of user:

1. Admin
2. User

1.2 Objectives
 Interact with the club’s database online through a friendly user interface.
 Manage the users who will access the intranet.
 Manage the partners subscribed to the club.
 Manage the players subscribed to the club.
 The user will be able to update their own data.
 Manage the season teams and categories.
 Create teams’ rosters.
 Schedule teams’ matches.
 Create lists with the teams’ players.
 Create lists with the matches scheduled between a two dates.
 Do the tasks the most easily way possible.

1.3 Purpose and Scope

The purpose of the Society shall be to promote, stimulate, and encourage study,
research, scholarly writing, and professional development in the area of sport
management.
The scope for this project is to build a solution in form of an intranet that will fulfil the first
set of objectives mentioned in order to, from the role of an administrator, perform effectively
the club management tasks.
1.4 Achievements

1.5 Organization of Report

A sport club is comprised of a group of members who voluntarily organize in order to
enhance their common interests in a specific sport. Sport Clubs are intended for
various other purposes, in addition to providing a common platform for the members
to participate in their respective sport. Various other events associated with the sports
club are club fundraising, Sports organization, scheduling, public relations,
administration and fiscal management. Like in any other organization or group, there
is also a need of sports club management or an organizational structure of the club,
so as to ensure that the club runs effectively and the functions inside a club are carried
out satisfactorily.
CHAPTER 2:SURVEY OF
TECHNOLOGIES
The reason behind to Use the respected Technology is because of the following reason:
 It is Component Oriented.
 It is Object Oriented.
 It produces efficient Programs.
 It is a part of .Net framework.
 It can be compile in variety of computer platform.

FRONTEND: ([Link])C#.
Advantages:
 Object Oriented:
Everything that you see in the .NET framework is an object. It is the
same for what you write within the framework. This means that you get a
powerful tool to not just access but also control your apps. This also makes it
simpler for you to respond to recurring events.
 Easy Maintenance
Pages, with .NET, are extremely simple to write and maintain. This is
because the source code and HTML are both together. In addition to that,
the source code executes on the server. What does this mean? This makes
your web pages more powerful and flexible.

 Time-Saving
Time is money, and .NET helps you save a lot of that. The way it is
developed, .NET removes a large part of the coding requirement. This
means that the developers save time, and the app’s time-to-market can be
shortened considerably.

 Simplicity

Performing common tasks with .NET is extremely simple and

straight forward. Submission of forms is a breeze and so is site
configuration, deployment, and client authentication.
BACKEND: MYSQL DATABASE.
Advantages:
 Data Security:
The data security and support for transactional processing that accompany the recent
version of MySQL, can greatly benefit any business especially if it is an eCommerce
business that involves frequent money transfers.

 High Performance

MySQL features a distinct storage-engine framework that facilitates system

administrators to configure the MySQL database server for a flawless
performance.
 The Flexibility of Open Source

All the fears and worries that arise in an open source solution can be brought
to an end with My SQL’s round-the-clock support and enterprise
indemnification. The secure processing and trusted software of MySQL
combine to provide effective transactions for large volume projects.
CHAPTER 3: REQUIREMENTS
AND ANALYSIS

3.1 Problem Definition:

The Problem with this system is that it provides text-based interface, which is not as user-
friendly as Graphical User Interface.
Off line execution cannot be generated due to batch mode execution.

3.2 Requirements Specification

First of all the intranet is private for the club, therefore there must be a log in page where
the users can access to the intranet using their credentials. Easy to extend. The design must
allow to extend the version of the software released in this project by including new
functionalities or improving the existent ones. Intuitive. Any user must be able to navigate
through the intranet and perform the different tasks without the requirement

3.3 Planning and Scheduling

It concerned with development of project for investment.

It identifies and addresses the task required for accomplishment of objectives.

After approving of my project topic I started my project planning.

It requires one or more than one week for requirement analysis.

It requires two weeks for analysing the hardware requirement and

software requirement.
It require two week for studying the existing system.

It requires four to five weeks for detailed planning of the proposed system.

It take two to three weeks for analysing whether the proposed system is feasible or
not.

Scheduling is lying out the actual jobs of the project in the time order in which
they have to be performed.
After planning has to be done we start with making the logic diagrams according

to the requirement.

3.4 Software and Hardware Requirements

Following H/W are required to make the project:

 Hard Disk-2GB or higher

 RAM-2GB or higher
 Processor: Dual Core 1.3 GHz or above

Following S/W are used to make the project:

 VISUAL STUDIO EXPRESS FOR WEB 2012

 Platform:[Link]
 Coding Language: C#
 Database: MYSQL 5.6

3.5 Preliminary Product Description

 Existing System:
Currently, the process of managing the sports club is file based and manual.
These absolute management system slows down functionality of the club. For
example, a new user wants to enroll in a training batch he/she has to visit the club
and fill up the registration form. The form then passes through a hierarchy of club
members before approval. It takes time as well as effort form a user’s perspective.
This is just a single case. Same problem persists in all the major operation of the
club.

 Proposed System:
The proposed Sports club management system is fully automated and requires just
one person from the club to maintain the functionalities of the club. The user can
register for new membership, book ground for specific days and register for training
batches. The admin has to approve every membership and ground booking request
as well as request to join a training batch. No need of clumsy paper-work. No need
to be physically present to book the ground. No manual processing of requests.

3.6 Conceptual Model

To make this project, I am using Spiral Model.

CHAPTER 4: SYSTEM DESIGN

[Link] DIAGRAM:
the Entity model-relationship model was proposed by peter in 1976 as a way to unify the network

and relational database view. Simply state the ER model is a conceptual data model, which

represent the real world as entities and relationship. It is represent the data object.

Sequence diagrams, commonly used by developers, model the interactions between
objects in a single use case. They illustrate how the different parts of a system interact
with each other to carry out a function, and the order in which the interactions occur
when a particular use case is executed
