Superheroes
For thousands of years people have told stories about heroes. Heroes are strong, brave people
who help others. Today we can read stories and watch films about superheroes.
Superheroes have special powers which they use to do good things like helping people and
fighting crime. They ususally wear speacial clothes, like a cape. Sometimes they wear a mask so
no one knows who they are. Some superheroes use gadgets, like Spiderman’s web shooter.
Modern superheroes started as stories in comic books. Superman was one of the first famous
superheroes. He can fly and he is super strong. He is very fast and no weapons can hurt him.
The only thing that can hurt him is a rock from his home planet.
Sometimes superheroes have friends who help them. These friends are called ”sidekicks”. One of
the most famous sidekicks is Robin from ”Batman and Robin”. Sometimes superheroes group
together like Iron Man, Captain America and Thor in the Avengers.

Seasons
In many places the weather changes during the year. These changes are called seasons. In the
north and south there are four seasons in a year. Each season brings changes that are important
for plants and animals that live in different parts of the world.
Spring starts when the day and night are the same length, on the 21st of June. The weather gets
warmer and sunnier. Trees and plants start to grow. Many animals have their babies in spring.
Summer begins on the longest day of the year. Fruit grow on trees and plants. Young animals
grow bigger and stronger.
Autumn starts when the day and night are the same length again. During autumn, the leaves
change their colour and fall from the trees. Some animals collect food before winter comes.
Winter begins on the shortest day of the year, on the 21st of December. The weather is colder
and in some places there is a lot of snow. Plants and trees stop growing. Some animals, like bats
and bears, find places to hide and sleep. This is called hibernation.

Cinderella

Cinderella is a good girl who lives in an old house with her two ugly and bad sisters and
her step mother.
One evening her two sisters go to a big party at the palace. They have beautiful dresses
and they are very happy.
Cinderella stays at home and works in the kitchen. She is so unhappy. Then a fairy comes
and gives her a wish. She wishes she can go to the party and she does. She meets a prince
at the party and dances with him. She leaves the party at twelve o’clock at night, but she
loses one of her glass shoes. The prince finds the shoe and the next day he looks for the
girl. Every woman from the city tries the glass shoe, in this way he finds Cinderella. They
marry and they are happy forever.
