Meeting No. Learning Plan Remarks


I. Objectives
July 26, 2019 At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
1. give important details in each selection; and

II. Motivation
The class is divided into 4 groups for a game. Each group’s
task is to complete the puzzles. 1st puzzle will be the face
of Nelson Mandela. After solving it, they will proceed to the
next stage, which is to complete the scrabbled words,
which is “Rolihlahla Mandela,” the Xhosa name of Nelson.
After the game, the teacher will show a short video
containing the life of Nelson Mandela.

III. Lesson Development


The class will be divided into 3. Each group will be
assigned to a specific selection (Nelson M: A Thembu
Prince, Nelson: Cow’s Best friend, and An Autobiography).
They are going to talk about their assigned stories. After
discussing, they are tasked to answer their assigned
questions by triad.

Tasks:
Group 1: Nelson M: A Thembu Prince (5 pts each)

Why was he imprisoned?

Group 2: Nelson: Cows’ Best friend (5 pts each)

IV. Closure
These following questions will be asked:
1. Give me one example on how you described Mandela?
2. How about Mandela’s family?
3. In the video presentation, what was the central subject
that Mandela did?
V. Assessment
Four corners. Each corner of the classroom will be
designated to represent A, B, C, or D. The teacher will ask
questions about the selections, and choices will be given.
Students go to the corner that they believe corresponds
with the correct answer.

VI. Valuing
The teacher will share a very short story containing
equality.

VII. Assignment
Students are asked to study the different selections for a
summative test next week.
