4. System Description IHP CYLINDER VALVE


IHP cylinder valves of the “B0702” group can be Ball Valve
operated with the FireDETEC® sensor tubing and
optionally with a manual release device.
The FireDETEC® sensor tubing is connected to
the ball valve on the low-pressure side of the IHP
cylinder valve and installed in the fire hazard area. Screw

8.3 Maintenance intervals
The following steps must be performed every

1. Check the cylinder and all parts of the FireDE-

or corrosion. If any deterioration or corrosion is
visible, replace the damaged parts. Replace all
corroded parts.
2. Check all support brackets. Tighten loose fittings.
3. Check the FireDETEC® sensor tubing. Make sure
that there are no kinds of abrasion, cuts, kinks. If
there are kinds of abrasion, cuts, kinks replace

4. Remove dirt and dust from the FireDETEC® sen-
sor tubing.
5. Make sure that the FireDETEC® sensor tubing is
free of obstructions that would prevent the detec-
tion of a fire.
6. Check the pressure gauge. Make sure that the
pressure is correct (green indicating range). Re-
fer also to chapter 5.8. If the pressure is in the
lower green range or in the red range, remove the
cylinder for repair or recharge or replacement.
7. Verify enclosure measurements and make sure
that there are no changes to size and volume.
8. Check the ventilation system. Make sure that no
changes have been made to the system.
