TRIVIA BATTLE

Mechanics:

I.

1. Electronic devices and other resource materials are strictly prohibited. Any team violating this rule shall forfeit the
round.

2. Coaching from the audience will merit no points from the question.

3. Each team must consist of three (3) persons.

4. Food and drinks in the table are allowed.

5. FORUM members are disqualified to enter the game.

II.

1. The game consists of 5 rounds, 10 questions per round.

a. First and Second Round – 1 point each; 5 seconds each question

b. Third and Fourth Round – 2 points each; 7 seconds each question

c. Fifth Round – 3 points each; 10 seconds each question

2. The correct spelling is required to be written. No abbreviation is allowed.

3. The answer must be written legibly.

4. In the interest of time, each question will be read twice only.

5. The answer board shall be raised while the question is being presented. Only after the signal of the Quiz Master shall
the answer be written in the answer board. Any team violating this rule shall forfeit the question.

4. Each question has only one correct answer. Submitting more than one answer or general descriptions will be scored
as incorrect.

5. The questions cover various topics such as pop culture, history, legal matters, and all other topics as deemed proper
by the Quiz Master.

6. Any disputes raised with regard to any answer shall be resolved by the Quiz Master.

III.

1. From the end of each round, all scores shall be tallied in public view.

2. Any disputes raised with regard to the computation of the scores shall be resolved by the Quiz Master.

3. In case of a tie, a tie-breaking question shall be asked.

4. The team which garnered the highest score shall be declared as the winner. Other teams shall be ranked second,
third, and fourth, with respect to the score garnered.

5. The following points shall be added to the total points of the team for the Casus Belli:

a. First Place – 200 points.

b. Second Place – 150 points.

c. Third Place – 100 points.

d. Fourth Points – 50 points.
