Influenza: ü Clindamycin v Conjunctivitis/Corneal Abrasion: Erythro Ointment
Tamiflu ü Doxycycline v Preseptal Cellulitis: Clindamycin or Cephalexin

Adult: Healthy: Azithromycin, Doxy Ears:
Unhealthy: Augmentin, Levaquin v Otitis Externa: Fluoroquinolone gtts
Peds: Bacterial: Augmentin, Amoxycillin, v Otitis Media: Amoxicillin if no recent abx
Atypical: Azithromycin, Doxy Augmentin if recent abx

GI v Acute Sinusitis: Augmentin or Doxy
Diverticulitis: Throat:
Augmentin or Flagyl plus Cipro or Levaquin v Thrush: Nystatin, Fluconazole PO if severe
v Strep: Amoxicillin (Cephalexin/Azithro if allergic)
Infectious Diarrhea: v Peritonsillar Abscess: Augmentin or Clinda
Azithromycin, Cipro or Levaquin
v Do not treat unless recent international travel,
SKIN
v < 6 months old Bites:
v Bloody Diarrhea v Animals: Augmentin or Doxy
v Ticks: Doxy
v Cat or Human: go to ER
GU/STI Cellulitis:
Bacterial Vaginosis/Trichomoniasis: Flagyl v Nonpurulent: Keflex (Cephalexin) or Cefadroxil
Gonorrhea: Ceftriaxone v Purulent: I & D gold standard; if systemic MRSA Coverage
Chlamydia: Azithromycin
Syphilis: PenG DM Ulcers: Keflex or Doxy & Bactrim if MRSA suspected
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease: Ceftriaxone and Doxy Folliculitis: Topical Mupirocin or Topical Clinda
Impetigo: Topical Mupirocin or TX for MRSA if severe
Candida: OTC or RX Nystatin cream
Shingles: Acyclovir (do not treat chicken pox in peds unless
child is at risk
UTI: CARDITIS Lice: Permethrin OTC or Ivermectin PO
v Uncomplicated: Nitrofurantoin or Bactrim DENTAL PREVENTION Tinea Corporis/Cruris Pedis: Topical Clotrimazole
v Complicated: Beta lactams (Cephalexin/Cefpodoxime or KEFLEX or Tinea Versicolor: Topical Selenium or Ketoconazole
Azithromycin Amox Pinworms: Albendazole or Mebendazole
v Peds: Cephalexin or Cefdinir (Clinda if PCN Scabies: Permethrin OTC or Ivermectin POC
Allergic Mastitis: Cephalexin or Augmentin
Pyelo: Cephalexin or Bactrim
Prostatitis: Ceftriaxone
