Temanggung is a small district in the Central Java province that should
have a tourist place visited. During this time, travelers are rarely seen because
they are outraged by tourist attractions in Magelang, Wonosobo and Semarang.
But you need to be fulfilled, this small city has a natural tourist spot to the history
that is worth exploring.
Well Temanggung has natural attractions that are not inferior to the
surrounding regencies, ranging from waterfall tours in temanggung to mountain
climbing tours which are now stretching in today's young people.If the weekends
are around Magelang or Wonosobo, don't forget to stop by at the new tourist
attraction in Temanggung. There is a Posong nature tour with super beautiful

Mountain, then Temanggung has an attractive tourist destination, Posong. Posong
is a new tourist area in Temanggung Regency, located at the foot of Mount
Sindoro, Tlahab Village, Kledung District, Temanggung Regency. The ticket is
quite cheap, by paying Rp 4,000, you can enter the Posong area. This tour opening
hours are from 04.00 to 17.00 WIB.
If you travel from the direction of Semarang, you can take the Pantura
route Semarang-Yogya past Bawen, Ambarawa and finally at the Secang
intersection. After that, turn right and just follow the road to the town square of
Temanggung. If from the direction of Yogyakarta, take the Pantura Yogya-
Semarang line, past Magelang and the last intersection of Secang, turn left, follow
the road to meet the town square of Temanggung.
If you are already in Temanggung Square, take the direction to
Wonosobo past Parakan. When you are at Parakan Market, just go straight up the
road to Kledung Subdistrict. Be careful going through this path, winding and
prone to accidents.
Keep concentrating to find a small gate that says Posong on the right
side of the road. This gate can be found after passing bridge 1 (Twin Bridge) then
there is 1 bridge again and turning right When on the incline, the gate that says
Posong is visible on the right of the road.
What is in Posong? Although a new tourist area, but do not
underestimate its natural offerings. Posong has an amazing golden sunrise. As I
said, if Dieng has Sikunir Hill and Magelang has Andong Mountain, Temanggung
has Posong. Posong Nature Tourism is located right at the foot of Mount Sindoro.
I suggest being careful when starting to enter from the payment counter. The steep
path, contoured in stone and narrow, makes us have to be extra careful. But don't
worry, from the beginning of entering, you have found a very beautiful natural
scenery. Apart from resident plantations, you can see the beauty of the body
curves of this Earth.
It takes about 1 hour from the ticket gate to the final location, the main
spot of Posong. If the morning comes here, surely get a sunrise. But keep in mind,
try at 04.00 WIB in the morning already starting from the ticket gate and
approximately at 05.00 WIB already in the main spot. Be patient waiting for the
Sun to come out of hiding by sitting relaxed and enjoying tea or hot coffee in the
gazebos that have been provided.
There are stalls, but open at around 7:00 a.m. in the morning. Therefore,
it is better to bring a thermos filled with hot water and a coffee cup yourself.
Remember also bring a thick jacket, gloves, head cover, training pants, socks. The
temperature in Posong is already quite cold. At 5:45 a.m., look at the eyes of
Mount Sumbing, slowly morning sun peeping from behind Mount Sumbing.
Slowly all the shadows of Merbabu, Merapi, Telomoyo, Muria, Ungaran began to
appear. For those who like photography, prepare an SLR / DSLR camera, tripod
and adjust the settings manually to get the perfect picture. At 6:00 a.m. feel and
enjoy the warmth of Golden Sunrise! Capture the best moments from Posong. If
you are lucky, you will get a cloud of ocean and in the afternoon you will get a
clean view, free from clouds. Views of Merbabu, Merapi, Telomoyo, Ungaran,
Muria, Sumbing and Sindoro. 7 We can see the peak at the same time from above.
Posong also opened a camping site, tourists can contact the local
manager. Not only morning and Golden Sunrise, Posong presents its beauty. A
night of billions of stars is above our heads or commonly called the Milky Way.
Curious? Just go straight here. This can be a place of recreation with family,
friends, girlfriends. Guaranteed not to disappoint. But keep in mind again, to be
able to get a perfect view, visit during the dry season. When the rainy season is
sure you only get fog.
Don't leave trash and anything other than traces, don't take anything

enjoy.
Embung Kledung is a small reservoir that functions for water storage in
Temanggung. Initially this pond was used by local residents for water sources in
the dry season, and gradually became a new tourist spot. In the Embung Kledung
area there are many sights that are presented, one of which is the splendor of
Mount Sindoro. Well this scene is similar to the scenery of Mount Fujiyama and
there is also a panorama of its alienity.
This tour is a lot of places that are perfect for taking pictures of
instagenic and cool photos. The cool air is also the main attraction, because
Embung Kledung is indeed in Bagung on the slopes of Mount Sundoro. So you
can still feel the typical mountain atmosphere in this tour.
When the weather is sunny you can see the surface of Embung water
which refracts Mount Sindoro and the nature around Embung Kledung. In
addition, you can see the fish ponds that have sprung up in Embung.

ticket price to enter Embung Kledung, it is quite cheap, Rp. 4000, - per person and

rp. 5000 - up to Rp. 7000, -. But this price can change according to time, so you
can bring more money.
Our advice if you want to be satisfied and get a good view, come time or
afternoon. Because the Embung Kledung opening hours start at 06.00 - 17.15
WIB. Over time in this area, many contemporary photo spots are built. For those
of you who don't bring food from home, you can buy food and food stalls around.
The existence of a rest area is important in supporting traveling,
especially if you are on a long trip. The rest area is also important to support the

Kledung Rest Area is one of the most suitable rest areas to rest because
of the beautiful natural scenery around the rest area. The address of the Kledung
rest area is on the Wonosobo Temanggung highway, Kledung, Temanggung,
Central Java. The location of the Kledung rest area is located in Pelana Kledung,
said to be saddle because when viewed from the crossing it looks like a horse

Kledung is on the sidelines of Sindoro Mountain and Sumbing

Kledung.
