ABSTRACT
Allah says: “And when you ask the ladies for anything ask them from before a screen. That
makes for greater purity for your hearts and for thiers”.[Surah-al-Ahzab:53].
Co-education is the most serious issue now a days! As we move forward in this world in
technology and in civilization we engulf by such type of matters. From many researches , reports
and surveys that I have read it is concluded that the west opinion towards the co-education is
totally one-sided they always consider this system a compulsory thing for them. They never try to
figure out what are the other side of this issue. For example according to Canadian report and
Bayfield high school report on co-education it has been concluded that , the co-education is the
full of advantages.
“Hence my analysis is that co-education is not our system and we should have to get rid of it.”
Thus , my research is very staright and different from the other author because ,they always
discussed the advantages and never try to figure out the disadvantages. You can also see this thing
when you search on this matter. For example if you search on the internet there are several
advantages can be found on this matter and you can never found any disadvantages and if you
find it out there can only be 2 or 3.Such type of atmosphere clearly show the biased view of west
author and publication on this matter ..

CHAPTER -01
(INTRODUCTION)
CONCEPT OF CO-EDUCATION
RESEARCH INTRODUCTION:
BACKGROUND :
Q : What is the purpose of your topic ?
Ans: To tell about the concept of “ CO-EDUCATION “ , and also to declare the ISLAMIC
perceptions and view on this matter.
Ans : Whenever I see the boys and girls in university , college and especially in school
sitting side by side and talk to each other, there is a feeling arises in my heart and mind
that :
o why there shake hands with each other in that way that they are like a husband and
wife?
“Our beloved HOLY PROPHET HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H) never encourage this
types of activities and our religion Islam also hate such type of things."
Ans: This is the most important topic in our society that requires a high level of attention,
this topic is especially for those who always wanted to get pleasures and consider
themselves a modern world human being, who think that these activities and this type of
system are the demand of the modern world.
Ans: My report contains the message of difference between man and woman ,that Al-
Mighty Allah has declared the sperate status of man and woman , but is doesn’t mean
that we mingle with each and other in that way as we belong to different families
ORIGIN :
In England, the first public boarding school to become coeducational was Bedales School founded
in 1893 by John Haden Badley and coeducational since 1898. The Scottish Dollar Academy claims
to be the first coeducational boarding school in the UK (in 1818). In the 1960s, many Western
countries shifted to coeducation. Not only was coeducation a less expensive way of schooling
children, but it also supported the thrust towards gender equality. In 1972, U.S. schools made
coeducation mandatory in public schools. The co-education system was actually starts in the late
16th century from the CATHOLIC CHURCH and it became very popular in 19th and 20th century. In
the Catholic Church the education was started with an aim to promote the education of children at
all the levels.(Wikipedia 2014)
DEFINITION:
“CO-EDUCATION is a system in which boys and girls are study at a same place and share each
other’s ideas and thoughts.”
From the above mentioned paragraph it has been very clear that ,the co-education is the system
in which boys and girls study with each other and obtain same benefits.
“At Bayfield High School the education of girls and boys together is seen as the most healthy,
natural and normal setting for learning. It is one of the ways the school recognises the equality of
the sexes. We aim to provide a broad range of activities and experiences, tailored to meet the
developmental needs of the widest possible range of individuals, whether they are boys or girls.
Our programmes have our students learning in and through mixed gender experiences. Our
students’ achievements in all parts of the school’s programmes are testimony to the success of our
philosophies and practices.”
(School 1980-1990)
From the above mentioned paragraph it has been very clear that ,the behavior and attitude of
West towards the co-education is very strong and they always try to make their children a part of
this system.

CHAPTER-02
(LITERATURE REVIEW)
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF CO-EDUCATION
ANALYSIS:
From the many media research reports and surveys it has been concluded that, according to the
WEST there are many advantages of this system and they thought the disadvantages of this
system are more less as compare to its advantages following advantages has been extract from a
various source in which we can easily concluded the perception and ideas of West towards the Co-
education.
Following literature I have reviewed to find out the answer and also to understand the concept of
the co-education of other people:
The report which was published in 1970 and also in 1980 by BAYFIELD School. It stated that:
“THE CO-EDUCATION IS VERY NECESSARY FOR THE GROWTH OF THE BOYS AND GIRLS BECAUSE IT
PROVIDE THEM A HEALTHY AND SUITABLE ENVIRONMENT TO GROW”. (School 1980-1990)
MY OPINION:
think that co-education is not provide the healthy way because there are lot of problems are faced
by the boys and girls in front of each other in such a way that if they faced same crucial and
diplomatic problem in front of opposite gender then it becomes very harmful for their future and
they will never grow well.
“THE CO-EDUCATION IS PROVIDE THE BETTER ENIVRONMENT FOR THE CHILD TO BECOME A
USEFUL CITITZEN AND ALSO TO COMPETE WITH EACH OTHER” (School 1980-1990)
MY OPINION:
I don’t agree with this statement because from the history it is very clear that the single gender
school are more better and produce great students with leadership qualities. As we all know that
and also we can see this example in our surrounding that the single male or a female school and
colleges are producing great acedemic results as compared to co-education system school or
colleges. For intance ADAMJEE COLLEGE AND D.J. SINDH GOVT. SCIENCE COLLEGE are the single
sex college are the top most best colleges of KARACHI having great academic records.
“The co-education system is the great system that removes the hesitation of boys and girls in front
of each other and makes them to do work efficiently by the help of each other.” (School 1980-
1990)
MY OPINION :
I never agree with this statement, because our religion ISLAM has mentioned the separate
boundaries for both man and woman. This is not right to remove the boundaries between man
and woman by merging them with each other just to remove between them hesitation.
Doctor Zakir Naik says about the co-education in his lecture that:
“Do you want to send your child to a school to get educated, or do you want to send your child to
the school, to pick up illicit techniques, or be harassed? then If it is the first, I would advise you to
put them in Unisex schools… and there are several of the kind in the city.”
(Naik Facebook)
MY OPINION :
I am quite satisfy with the answer of the Dr. Zakir Naik that the co-education system are one of
the cruel system that is developed just to irritate the MUSLIMS and also keep them away from
their religion i.e. ISLAM.
In the same way many other reports on co-education from the ISLAMIC perspective are wrong
which greatly support and encourage the growth of co-education system.
“The learning in co-education system provides an engaging environment to the boys and girls
both to get comfortable themselves in front of each other, also increase their confidence for facing
each other.”(Survey 2005-06)(Vnita 1986)
MY OPINION :
I don’t believe with that! Because it is not a correct way to get engaged and comfortable the
children in such a way by merging them. This types of things remove the gap and boundaries
between boys and girls.
1) From the COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL research it has been stated that the Co-education is of
great advantages it is very necessary for the children either girl or a boy to become friends
of each other.
2) From the WEST POINT GREY ACADEMY it is very necessary to have a co-education because
it gathered boys and girls and also help to participate with each other in differen types of
activities such as in party, club and many other social activities.
3) From the Canada report it has been concluded that the interaction between boys and girls
is very necessary because it helps to make friends with their opposite gender easily.
4) From the Canada report it has been concluded that the schools which are based on co-
education are more respectful as compared to the single-sex schools.
5) According to the report of Canada the level of confidence is highly increased due to the co-
education among boys and girls.
6) As compared to single-sex schools the co-edcuation system school helps boys and girls to
make friend of opposite gender easily.
7) The co-education system helps to increase the level of research between boys and girls
and make them easy and comfortable to connect and talk with each other without any
hesitation
10) According to the Cathedral school the co-education system develops the friendships
among boys and girls in a healthy and natural way.
“That co education creates a feeling of comradeship. The misconceptions about both the
sexes get cleared. It symbolizes that discrimination does not exist in modern day society. It
removes the shy nature of the girls and helps them to be a good orator. I feel some
buffoon boys entertain the class and they help the girls to be free. The people in a co-
education get a good married life later as they freely talked and shared their ideas with
their opposite sex.”
DISADVANTAGES OF CO-EDUCATION
ANALYSIS:
“The most important fact about the co-education is that ,that it is against the natural philosophies.
The boys and girls are comparatively unaware and unusual from each other and it’s against the
nature.”
From various analysis and observations it has been concluded that people are always try to
promote the importance of co-education even many Muslim are also considered it true ,and make
sure that their children are study in co-education environment system. That’s why in determining
its advantages and importance people forget its disadvantages that may sometime rises to the
alarming situation. Following are some of the disadvantages that are collected from many sources
just to describe the disadvantages of co-education system:
Unfortunately there are many countries even the developed countries show great
discrimination between man and woman. For example in India where there is a huge
discrimination for girls. Even they don’t allow them to take admission in girls.
In co-education system the boys show attitude of harassment towards girls and from
the early stage they call girls with a bad and avoidable words and also abuse.
”In mixed schools, girls are teased and harassed by boys from an early age, and this continues
as they grow older. Among my earliest memories of nursery school is of myself, at age three,
standing stock still, petrified, in the school verandah during recess, while a boy my own age
accosted me and opened the buttons of my jersey one by one, repeating as he opened each
one: “Kuthi, Kuthi” (bitch, bitch) I do not think this was in any way an unusual incident. Most
girls, if they searched their memories, could recall similar happenings.”
Similarly the other disadvantages are the cause of being molest. From the report it has
been concluded that in every 10 seconds the one woman in INDIA in co-education
systems such as in schools, college and in university are being molest.(Vnita 1986)
From the various researches it has been concluded that the single/unisex school are
more and much better than the co-education schools and produce better results.
The co-education system is responsible for the origin of distort relation between boys
and girls .This type of homogeneous relation cause them to fall in become the victim
of their emotions.
The co-education system also responsible for late night home gatherings among boys
and girls and create bad habits between them. Late night dance, music ,movie and
drink parities are the cause for increasing the ethical problems in boys and girls.

CHAPTER-03
Co-education in the view of West is full of colors and advantages. But now as a Muslims before
adopting this system for our generation I have through a light on this system in the teachings of
Islam. That what Islamic teachings say on this system? what Quran and Hadith says on this
matter? What Islamic scholars say on this matter below I discuss some of important quranic verses
and hadith that very much relates with the co-education.
And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their
modesty; aAnd tell the believing women to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their
private parts and not expose their adornment except that which [necessarily] appears
thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their
adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their
husbands' sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their women, that
which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or
children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp
their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in
repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.(Exchange n.d.)
This verse is rightly towards the difference in nature between man and woman. This verse of
Quran also declared that how man and woman should hide their private parts and themselves
with each other.
Similarly:
From many occasions it has been cleared from from hadith that when a woman had ask some
questions they had asked in the presence of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) so in this point it is also
clear that the woman or a girl can ask questions in the presence of man. But it does not meant
that man and woman start mingling with each other like nowadays.
For instance:
“Hazrat Ali(R.A) said that; our companions never find any difficulty to ask any question from
Mother Ayesha(R.A).”
But gaining a knowledge in co-education and mingling of sexes in co-education are different
things, Islam not encourages this system but allowed to gain knowledge for both man and woman
from any source. But gaining a knowledge is based on some rules and regulation. For instance
below hadith clarifies it:
Narrated Abu As-Sawar Al-Adawi: 'Imran bin Husain said, "The Prophet said, 'Haya' does
not bring anything except good." Thereupon Bashir bin Ka'b said, 'It is written in the
wisdom paper: Haya leads to solemnity; Haya leads to tranquility (peace of mind)." 'Imran
said to him, "I am narrating to you the saying of Allah's Apostle and you are speaking
about your paper (wisdom book)?" (Exchange n.d.)
1) Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said that:” No man should enter into the presence of a
woman after this day unless he is accompanied by one or two other men“[Sahih Muslim].
2) Similarly in the co-education some time boys and girls interact with each other. From the
hadith mentioned below it is quite clear that Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) never shook his
hand with an unrelated woman. Umaymah B. Raqiqah said: “I came to the prophet
(P.B.U.H) with a group of a women to swear the fealty for Islam. The woman informed
Allah’s messenger that they wished to swear fealty to him.The prophet (P.B.U.H) said: “I
do not shake hands with woman is the same as with one hundred woman.”[Al-Muwatta,
Sunan Al-Trimidhi ,Sunan Al-Nasa’i and Sunan Ibn Majah].
3) In the same way Islam also do not allow woman to go anywhere without a” PARDHA”.For
this Allah says: “And when you ask the ladies for anything ask them from before a screen.
That makes for greater purity for your hearts and for thiers.[Surah-al-Ahzab:53].This is the
point which girls totally neglects in co-education.
4) In the similar way Islam also do not allow woman to speak in soft and gentle voice with
unknown man, but in co-education girls speak in slow voice and consider it in ethical
manner.Allah says;” Be not too complaisant of speech, lest one in whose heart is a disease
should be moved with desire;but speak with a speech(that is )proper.”[Surah-al-
Ahzab:32].
5) In the co-education there is usually the one thing can be observed about the sitting of girls
with boys side by side and also girls immersed themselves in a perfume fragrance, in Islam
sitting in un-related person of girl is strictly prohibited.Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said
that ;” Any woman who puts on perfume then goes and passes by some men to let them
find her scent is a type of adulteress”.[ Al-Muwatta, Sunan Al-Trimidhi ,Sunan Al-Nasa’i].
6) Similarly in university girls walking on the same path where boys walk they both
sometimes have to intersect with each other and also sometimes there body part touch
with each other. For this Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) once saw men and women mixing
together on the road upon their departure from the mosque. He said to the women.”Hold
back a bit .You do not have to walk in the middle of the road. You may keep to the
side”.[Sunan-abi-Dawod].
7) In the same way boys also in co-education see girls without any hesitation and starting
gaze them whenever they saw any girl. For this Al-mighty Allah said that:”Say to the
believing men that they should lower gaze and guard their modesty. That will make for
greater purity for them.”
8) In co-education boys and girls mixing each other. It is prohibited for men to join women in
one place in the absence of at least one of the women's close male relatives. The Prophet
(peace be upon him) forbade men and women from being alone together. He said: "Never
is a man alone with a woman except that Satan is the third party with them."
The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said: "Do not enter into the company of women."
The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied: "The in-law is the most dangerous".
Now from the above perceptions of Islam it can be concluded that co-education is the
most serious issue and girls and boys should obey the rules and regulations. Allah says:
"Nor come nigh to adultery". In this verse, Allah does not say "Do not commit adultery"
but tells us not even to come close to it. This means that everything that may seduce a
person to fall into adultery is unlawful.
Brother has asked a question … is co-education allowed in Islam?… Can meaning… males and
females study in the same school, college or universities? First, let us analyse whether male and
female, can study in the same school. Those reports which came last year in ‘The World this
Week’… and it gave the survey of the schools, both Unisex schools as well as and Co-Ed. schools in
the U.K – And the surveyor said that… ‘The overall result of Unisex sex schools, was much better
than a Co-Ed. Schools’. When interviews were taken of the teachers, they said that… ‘Students in
Unisex schools, concentrated more than the Co-Ed. schools.’ When interviews of students were
taken, they preferred studying in Co-Ed. schools, than Unisex schools … and you know the reason
very well, why? And that survey continued – It said that…’People in Co-Ed. schools, spent more
time in becoming popular with the opposite sex. And besides lack of concentration, they gave very
smart answers to the teachers, and they spend more time in dating, than in gaining educa-tion in
school. And the last point of that survey, was the UK government was thinking of setting up more
Unisex schools, in the country. According to the American report, it said that… ‘Girls in school,
spent more time in picking up illicit sex techniques from the classmates, than acquiring knowledge
from the teachers.’ In India, the same thing is happening… to a greater or lesser extent. Let us
analyse the males and females together, in the colleges and universities. All the points I
mentioned for schools, they are magnified when it comes to college and universities. According to
a report of ‘News Week’ which was published on 17th of March 1980, on page number 50, it said
that… the sexual assault of the women in the universities are given. And it said – I will not repeat
the full history of that report, because time is short, but the main point is, that… ‘Lecturers and
professors – they forced the lady into sexual harassment, in exchange for a better grade. Same
thing is happening in India, in Bombay – and after your are sexually harassed, but natural, the
concentration to education goes low. You had an incident last year, which… which made the
headlines of the paper – I have forgotten the name of the college, in which a girl student was
raped in the broad daylight, by 4 or 5 students, in the college premises. And according to a report
which came day before yesterday, in the Times of India on the 26th of August, it repeated the
report of New York Times – It said that… ‘25% of the ladies that go to schools and universities in
America, are raped’. My basic question is… ‘Do you want to send your child to a school to get
educated, or do you want to send your child to the school, to pick up illicit techniques, or be
sexually harassed?’ If it is the first, I would advise you to put them in Unisex schools… and there
are several of the kind in the city. Hope that answers the question.(Naik Facebook)
From the lecture on co-education it is very quite clear from the side of religious scholar
that, co-education is of great dangers. He presented many surveys result in which it is
very cleared that in co-education the rape and sexually harassed cases are more reported
and children in this system consider it as a joy rather than to study.Dr. Zakir Naik also give
the example of co-education problems in UNITED STATES where many cases has been
reported due to the violation nature rules and regulation.
Following is one of the most important question that has been asked by a female student of
Tunisia from and Islamic scholar about the co-education , In which she asked that can a women get
education in a co-educational school on that case when there is no single-sex school is present in
Tunisia ?
Sheikh Faysal Mawlawi, Deputy Chairman of the European Council for Fatwa and Research,
replied to her that:
A Muslim may live in a society that does not seek Almighty Allah's pleasure. If he/she cannot
dispense with living in that society, he/she can be morally uplifted (by being keen on
observing the Islamic teachings in his/her life). This is what referred to by the hadith to the
effect that one is to modify the abominable things by one's tongue and heart [if one cannot do
that with one's hand]. Seeking knowledge is a collective duty upon Muslim males and females.
Having co-educational schools does not entail that Muslims give up education. It is right that
we should do our best so that there be no mixed education and choose the single-sex schools
to join if they are available. But as for your case, you say there are only co-educational schools.
Hence, there is no blame on you if you continue studying this year in the mixed school, since
you wear hijab [and stick to the teachings of Islam].Who knows, maybe your wearing hijab will
attract your female colleagues to follow in your footsteps. If you managed to guide one of
your colleagues in that regard, this would be extremely good [and would please Almighty
Allah]. So, you can continue studying in your school, especially, if your parents want you to do
so.In my point of view, if you disobeyed your parents in that respect, you would not be fully
innocent. It is known that disobeying one's parents if they order one to commit a sin is lawful,
but enrolling you in a mixed school is not a sin in itself. The sin in that regard is giving up
wearing hijab and violating the Islamic teachings and codes of conduct.Hence, you can join the
mixed school so long as you abide by the teachings of Islam, and it seems that your parents
trust you in that respect.(Mawlwai n.d.)
Hence, from a brief research it has been cleared that one should get the education in a co-
education school, but should obey all the rules and regulation for HIJAB. And also for boys it is
necessary to respect their class mates and never do anything that was against the Islamic
teachings.

CHAPTER-04
METHDOLOGY
I have collected my data by searching everything that is based on co-education and with
revalently attached to it. From many sites there are no disadvantages discussed and every one
tried to show the advantages of co-education there is no one who can say that the co-
education is wrong and contains serious ethical and moral problems that are very harmful for
not only for their children but also for society.I continue my research by checking out the
media reports, and many WEST schools, who are busying by suggest every parent to make
themselves and their children the part of co-education system and promote this system.I read
first the advantages and the concept of West towards this matter and then the article of
Indian lady Author who was the part of this system when she was a child and the story of her
and her friends harassments in this system . Also, I investigated with my seniors of university
about the feeling of them that they felt about this serious matter which the most of them
considered as right path.Hence there are many lectures of Islamic scholars based on like Mr.
Dr. Zakir Naik and many other I also read them and made the part of my research paper. Many
Quranic verses regarding the man and woman and their relation I also read and the hadith and
the behavior Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) about the illegal interaction of men and women.
Similarly, the behavior of Shaba Karam towards the same thing also a part of my research.
Hence, from a brief research it has been cleared that one should get the education in a co-
education school, but should obey all the rules and regulation for HIJAB. And also for boys it is
necessary to respect their class mates and never do anything that was against the Islamic
teachings.
PARTICIPANTS :
This is the most important topic in our society that requires a high level of attention, this topic is
especially for those who always wanted to get pleasures and consider themselves a modern world
human being, who think that these activities and this type of system are the demand of the
modern world.
Narrated Abu As-Sawar Al-Adawi: 'Imran bin Husain said, "The Prophet said, 'Haya' does not bring
anything except good." Thereupon Bashir bin Ka'b said, 'It is written in the wisdom paper: Haya
leads to solemnity; Haya leads to tranquility (peace of mind)." 'Imran said to him, "I am narrating
to you the saying of Allah's Apostle and you are speaking about your paper (wisdom book)?"
(Exchange n.d.)
TIME DURATION:
Hence according to my proposal report:
I thought my topic was a serious and most authentic, so I took 25 days for its completion. Because
according to my research questions and methodology it requires huge amount of concentration. I
need to discover from the beginning about this system , I need to find out first the idea of Western
countries towards this system, causes that encourage them to establish such type of system the
proper advantages that they thinks in this system. And then I also need to search in HOLY QURAN
and in the TEACHINGS OF HOLY PROPHET (P.B.U.H) about this system and also in other religious
books. I also refer to the religious scholars to take their view on this matter, and need to take view
of the students in the university and other people to find out what they think about it.
CHAPTER-05
From the research I have analyzed that the, now a days we are totally engulfed by the
shinning and beautiful atmosphere of this world. We will always go towards the things
that in our view are the most advance and give us more advantages. The topic which I
have researched is the most authentic and requires the attention, but we never pay
attention to it. We….! The Muslims also now unfortunately has become the prey of
modernization of the West and we can now easily impressed and become the target of
their customs, which they want to spread and try to enrich in our social life and want to
change the religion….!.We Muslims never try to figure out about the anything, that came
from the West and like a blind we want to imply in our daily routine.
Co-education is the most serious issue now a days! As we move forward in this world in
technology and in civilization we engulf by such type of matters. From many researches ,
reports and surveys that I have read it is concluded that the west opinion towards the co-
education is totally one-sided they always consider this system a compulsory thing for
them. They never try to figure out what are the other side of this issue. For example
according to Canadian report and Bayfield high school report on co-education it has been
concluded that , the co-education is the full of advantages.
But after reading the article of Mrs. RUTH VANITA article on co-education that was
totally based on her experiences it was cleared that co-education has some serious issues
which I have discussed in disadvantages of co-education chapter-02.
Similarly in chapter-03 after I read the Islamic literature, norms, Lecture of Dr. Zakir Naik,
Quranic verses and hadith I come to know about the fact that, this system is not a part of
our religion we should avoid it and never should involve in sucj types of activities. For
example below Hadith clearly show and condemned this system:
Narrated Abu As-Sawar Al-Adawi: 'Imran bin Husain said, "The Prophet said, 'Haya' does
not bring anything except good." Thereupon Bashir bin Ka'b said, 'It is written in the
wisdom paper: Haya leads to solemnity; Haya leads to tranquility (peace of mind)." 'Imran
said to him, "I am narrating to you the saying of Allah's Apostle and you are speaking
about your paper (wisdom book)?"(Exchange n.d.)
Hence, in the co-education system “ Haya “ can never found ,and we see the illegal
relation between boys and girls.
Similarly Dr.Zakir Naik lecture also show that the disadvantages of this system. For
example he said :
“Do you want to send your child to a school to get educated, or do you want to send your
child to the school, to pick up illicit techniques, or be sexually harassed?’ If it is the first, I
would advise you to put them in Unisex schools… and there are several of the kind in the
city.”
Hence from the authentic scholar it has been clarified that co-education is not safe and
never be a part of Muslims…
“Hence my analysis is that co-education is not our system and we should have to get rid of it.”
Thus , my research is very staright and different from the other author because ,they always
discussed the advantages and never try to figure out the disadvantages. You can also see this
thing when you search on this matter. For example if you search on the internet there are
several advantages can be found on this matter and you can never found any disadvantages
and if you find it out there can only be 2 or 3.Such type of atmosphere clearly show the biased
view of west author and publication on this matter . In chapter-03 the brief description has
been given to understand the concept of Islam towards this matter.

CHAPTER-06
SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
CHAPTER-01
Thus in the chapter -01 we are now able to understand the concept that what is co-education and
how the West have a attitude towards this system. From the below main points we can
summarize the chapter.
1) Co-education is the system in which the people gets education with their opposite gender.
2) Co-education system is based on a concept that they boys and girls from a very young age
should mingle with each other.
3) Co-education will remove distance of hesitation and misconceptions between boys and
girls.
6) West thought that if it neglects this system their children and new generation will be go in
backward and also will raise many social problems.
7) West always consider this system as a full of advantage and never try to figure out the
disadvantages of this system.
8) West thinks that due to this system they can get more healthy outcome for development
and many other research progress.
CHAPTER-02
From the chapter-02 the “Advantages and Disadvantages of Co-education” it has been very clear
that , the people who consider themselves as a great and modern family are unaware of the things
that cause the increment in the serious problems of the society .People always forget the
disadvantages and harmful effects of that things that in their view are the FULL OF COLORS and
advantages. The system of co-eductaion is also the great example of this attitude, in which people
are engulfed themselves in such a way that they never care about the problems and disadvantages
of this system and busy for its promotion.
CHAPTER-03
Hence in chapter-03 it has been concluded that:
Following Hadith and Quranic verses clarify the rules and regulations for men and women:
1) Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said that:” No man should enter into the presence of a
woman after this day unless he is accompanied by one or two other men“[Sahih Muslim].
2) Al-mighty Allah said that:”Say to the believing men that they should lower gaze and guard
their modesty. That will make for greater purity for them.”
3) that Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) never shook his hand with an unrelated woman.
Umaymah B. Raqiqah said: “I came to the prophet (P.B.U.H) with a group of a women to
swear the fealty for Islam. The woman informed Allah’s messenger that they wished to
swear fealty to him.The prophet (P.B.U.H) said: “I do not shake hands with woman is the
same as with onr hundred woman.”[Al-Muwatta, Sunan Al-Trimidhi ,Sunan Al-Nasa’i and
Sunan Ibn Majah].
4) Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) once saw men and women mixing together on the road upon
their departure from the mosque. He said to the women.”Hold back a bt .You do not have
to walk in the middle of the road. You may keep to the side”.[Sunan-abi-Dawod].
Hence, from a brief research it has been cleared that one should get the education in a co-
education school, but should obey all the rules and regulation for HIJAB. And also for boys it is
necessary to respect their class mates and never do anything that was against the Islamic
teachings.
