KIELLANDS FORCEPS
INTRODUCTION :- it is usually used as rotation forceps in deep transwave arrest of occipito
posterior position of the head or in unrotated vertex or face presentation.

WRIGELY’S FORCEPS
INTRODUCTION :- It can only be used as outlet forceps for extraction of the head.
SPECIFICATION AND USERS :-
A mental instrument in two pieces articulate by lock
Each piece has a handle look shaft and a fenestrated expanded blade.
The fenestrated portion of the blade allows good grip of the fetal head.
It is used to deliver the fetal haed processing at the pelvic outlet
Delivery of the head is accomplished by extending it.
GREEN ARMYTAGS FORCEPS
INTRODUCTION :- Green armytags forceps are used to grasp and clamp tissue in the uternus
the locking ring handle along with wide blades wire grooves a firm grip on the tissues.
SPECIFICATIONS AND USERS :-
A mental instrument resembling any other forceps except for triangular blades with
serrated edges.
Has small space between the blades even when forceps is locked and fully closed
Used in lower segment caesaren section (LSCS) to hold the retracted edges of the uterine
wll for easy writing.
While holding the edges it acts as a heamostat to decreses bleeding from the incision

Blades are spoon shaped fentrated .
And have blunt ends
Londgitudental fenestrations can hold good amount of tissue

Anything held in blades is firmy caught but not nipped and so no curshing
Ovum forceps is differentiated from sponge holding forceps by following points :
It has no lock
It has no serration
USES :-
Evaluation of products of conceptions in aborting and vesicular mole evaluation of
producs of conception in secondary PPH.
OVUM FORCEPS
INTRODUCTION :-
It has got no catch and the blades are slightly bent and fenestrated.
Absence of catch minimize injury. If accidently caught it prevents crushing of the concepts. It is
to introduce with the blads closed to pen a slight rotatrary inside the uterine cavity. To grasp the
products and to mark out the instruments with a slight rotatsry movements.
SPEICIFICATION AND USER :-
A moderately heavy mental instrument giving cupped blades with linear fenestration
The length is about 30 CM.
The size and type of blades can hold a reasonable amount of tissues in between with grop
grip.
