Our interviewee: Jessica Princivalle
Place of work: Henley College
What is their background? Are they a qualified professional or have they got
personal experience of the issue? Jessica Princivalle is part of the safeguarding
team. This means that she has experience of helping those who need help when
they are sad, angry or stressed.
How do they meet the expectations of your target audience? Jessica has
spoken to us in tutor and individually about mental health and safe places to go
when upset. As well as this she told us that even her office is a safe room.
Therefore, we can tell that she does actually care for the students that struggle
and is willing to take up her own space to talk to them.
What style of interview will be appropriate for this person? The interview will
be a sit down interview. It will also be in her office so she feels more
comfortable and more willing to speak.
Interview
Locations for your interview: Our interview is going to be in our interviewee,
Jessica’s’ office. This is so that she is comfortable to speak. It is also out the way
on the top floor so that it is much quieter and will have harder no background
noise.
B-roll I am using: We will at first film Jess walking from one building into the
canteen. This is because her office is above the canteen. As well as this we will
film her walking into her room and pushing in to the sign saying safety room.
This is to set the scene. After this it will show her writing something down
which is confidential. Because it is confidential we will have her talking to a
student with their back to the camera. While this is happening the door will
close to show that it is secret and no one else can hear or know about what
they are talking about. After this the camera will be looking through the
window so you can still see what she is doing. A pull out of the student sat
down on her desk. Before all of this we will have a pan of her office.
How will you present this? We will present this by using a close up and wide
shot of the interviewee. We will also have a narrator introducing what our topic
is and a view facts. While they are introducing the topic they will also introduce
Jess and what she does. While this is happening shots of jess will be happening
of her walking past. This is so while they are talking about her she will be
shown as well. This is so that when she is being interviewed the audience know
who she was. At the end we will also have texts of numbers such as child line
and people they can contact if they are struggling. This is so that they know
that help is out there. While the interview is happening we will have facts and
statics about mental health.
