Curriculum Guide: (Taken From The)

The lesson plan aims to teach students about linear equations over the course of a 60 minute class. Students will define linear equations, practice solving sample linear equations, and learn the rules and processes for solving linear equations. The lesson will include an introductory activity, sample problems worked on the board, a group activity with sample equation problems, an individual worksheet assessment, and homework assignments involving additional practice solving linear equations.

4. Procedures:
4.1 Introductory Activity -Prayer
-Checking of Attendance
-State the objectives
-Present the lyrics of the song & ask the students to stand up & sing the
song.
1.) What have you notice in the lyrics of the song?
2.) What are the words that are written there?
3.) Who can tell of what’s our topic for today?

4.2 Activity *Board work*

Directions: Translate the statement into equations & after solve on it.

1.) If you will buy in a store of thrice of unions added by five is equal to
thirteen. How many are the unions?
2.) If you will go to the mall and you will see a pedestrian lane in front
of the mall. The pedestrian lane have five lines is decreased of two
lines is equal to twenty-one? How many lines have in a pedestrian
lane?

4.3 Analysis 1. When can we say that the equation is linear?

2. How can we find the value of the variable in every equation?
3. What process of being used in solving the equations?
4.4 Abstraction 1. What is linear equation?
Linear equation- is an algebraic equation in which each term is either
a constant or the product of a constant and a single variable. It can be one
or more variables depend on the equation.
2. Rules in solving the Linear equation.
a.) The same number is added to both sides of the equation. Example: x+5=
7
b.) The same number is subtracted to both sides of the equation.
Example: x-5= 7
c.) The same number is multiplied to both sides of the equation. Example:
x*5= 7
d.) The same non-zero number is divides to both sides of the equation.
Example: x/5= 7
4.5 Application *Group work activity*
Groupings- 8 groups compose of 5 members
Each group will pick a rolled paper and discuss it by their classmates and
after they will answer.
Group who will give the correct answer will get a high score.
4.6 Assessment *Worksheet* (See attachment 1)
Give what is being asked.
4.7 Assignment Solve the following equations:

1.) 4+n=-5+(-9)
2.) -2=-4+x
3.) 11=p+1
4.) n/2=-5-11
5.) 1.2=w/-6
6.) Nine is added by the number is equal to negative seven. What is the
number?
7.) Nine is equal to seven multiplied by a number and divided by two.
What is the number?
Answer Key

1.) n= 0
2.) x= 2
3.) p= 10
4.) n= -32
5.) w= -72
6.) x= -16
