HMS Astute, the newest submarine to join the British navy is arguably the most advanced in the
world today. It is armed with technology so sensitive that it can hear a ship leaving New York while
lying in the English Channel.

Astute is said to be more complex than a space shuttle. It is able to circumnavigate the globe
without surfacing.
The submarine is 318 ft long and as wide as four double-decker buses. Its nuclear-powered engine
will propel it
through the water at more than 20 knots. The best part is that this stealth sub makes less noise
than a baby
dolphin making it practically impossible to be detected by enemy ships.
