Assignment No.1

1. Find the op response (DTFT) of the system y(n) - 5/6 y(n-1)+ 1/6 y(n-2)= x(n) for the input x(n)=(1/4)n u(n).

2. Obtain and sketch the impulse response of the time invariant system described by
y(n) = 0.4 x(n)+ x(n-1)+ 0.6 x(n-2) + x(n-3) +0.4 x(n-4)

3. Find Inverse Z.T of H(z)= using partial fraction method for
(𝑧−1)(𝑧−2)(𝑧−3)

4. Obtain magnitude response and the phase of the system defined by the difference equation
y(n)-1/2 y(n-1)=x(n)
5. Derive the condition for an LTI system to be stable and causal.
Determine the system function H(z). Discuss stability, causality and if possible determine H(ejw) from H(Z).
Given, 8y(n)-6y(n-1)+y(n-2)=x(n)+x(n-1)

6. Draw the direct form I and Direct Form II , cascade and parallel realization of the following filter:
