Introduction
Definition of Land Pollution :
(a) Degradation of
Earth’s land surfaces often
caused by human activities
& their misuse of land
resources
(b) Causes of Land
Pollution
(c) Destruction of Earth’s
surface & soil that caused
by human activities, which
related to business activities
(d) Land pollution is occurs when waste is not disposed
properly

Definition of pollution
When Harmful Substances Contaminate the Environment, it is Called
Pollution. Pollution refers to the very bad condition ofenvironment
in terms of quantity and quality .

Air Pollution !
What is Atmosphere?
Atmosphere is the life blanket of
[Link] is thereforessential that we
know more about theatmosphere and the
ways in which it is [Link] is
considered safe when it contains no
harmful dustand gases.
Causes of Air Pollution
Major sources of Air Pollution:
Industries.
Automobiles and Domestic fuels.
High Proportion of undesirable gases, such assulphur
dioxide and carbon monoxide.
Dust (e.g. cement dust, foundry dust andwindblown solid
dust)
Smoke.

Carbon black.
Aerosols.
Water pollution
Is a physical (temperature,
oxygen), chemical(mercury), or
biological (disease, sewage) change
towater that adversely affects its use
by alive beings.
Causes of Water Pollution
AAAEROSOLS
About 40% of Deathsworldwide are caused by
WaterPollution.
Water Pollution is
Causedbyorganic and
inorganicindustrial wastes and
effluentsdischarged into rivers.
Noise pollution
Noise can be simply defined as unwanted sound.
The sound is pleasant or not depends upon itsloudness, duration,
rhythm and the mood of theperson.
Noise pollution not only results in irritation andanger.
Noise Levels: Decibels (dB)

Causes of Noise Pollution
Traffic Noise.
Aircraft Noise.
Noise from construction and civil
engineering works. Noise from the
Industries.
Essay for earth
Earth contamination is a serious global problem. You
cannot escape air pollution, not even in your
own home. Humans who come in contact
with polluted waters canexperienceharmful
symptoms. Water pollution occurs when pollutantsaredischargeddirectly or
indirectly into water bodies without adequatetreatmentto remove
harmfulcompounds. Land pollution is the degradation of Earth's
land surfaces. It occurs whenwaste is not disposed properly.
Air pollution is the introduction of chemicals, particulatematter ,
or biological materialsthat cause damage to [Link] are
approximately fifty million deaths per year worldwide from
waterbornediseases, like cholera. The eighty
percent of ocean pollution comes as runoff fromagriculture, industry, and
domestic uses. The remaining twenty percent of water pollutioncomes from oil
spills and people dumping sewage directly into the water.
There is anexcess of waste being dumped. The amount of toxic
chemicals, coming from this waste, isgoing to cause health issues such

as deformities or cancers. People with health problemssuch as
asthma, heart and lung disease suffer more when the air is
polluted. Short-termeffects of air pollution include irritation to the eyes,
nose and throat, and upper
respiratoryinfections such as bronchitis and pneumonia. Long-
term health effects can includechronic respiratory disease,
lung cancer, heart disease, and even damage to the
brain, nerves and [Link] water by turning off the tap when
running water is not necessary. Thishelps prevent water shortages
and reduces the amount of contaminated water that
needstreatment. Reduce, re-
use and recycle. We can
try to prevent
land pollution
by disposingof some waste
correctly. We can separate
household waste at home
for recycling. Morethan
half of our domestic waste
could be recycled or re-
used but once it is mixed
up, it becomes more
difficult to separate different components for recycling. In order to
reduceair pollution we have to plant trees. Vegetation
purifies the air by removing gaseous pollutants by
absorbing them through pores in the leaf surface. Trees store carbon
dioxideand produce enough oxygen from one acre for eighteen people every
[Link] any substance that people introduce into
the atmosphere that hasdamaging effects on living things and the environment
is considered earth pollution. Earthis everybody’s home and nobody likes living in a
dirty home.
