PROJECT COC
(Cleanliness on Comfort rooms)
1. Introduction
Rationale
According to GCA Services Group comfort rooms are such high-traffic public areas that it is
very easy for germs to spread. A study shows 95 percent of people believe comfort room cleaning
has an impact on overall public health by helping to prevent diseases from spreading. A regular
cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing routine can reduce the likelihood of spreading dangerous
bacteria and viruses, which, in turn, can help prevent students, faculties, and visitors from
becoming ill. However, cleaning tools and equipment can become contaminated, so it is important
to use clean or ready-to-use disposable cloths, sponges, and mops to reduce cross-contamination.
Properly cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing restrooms can prevent the spread of many common
illnesses, including norovirus, the inflammation of the stomach or intestines, which can lead to
stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting. Influenza, a respiratory illness that infects the nose, throat, and
lungs. When not properly maintained, comfort rooms can become a problem to clean because stains
and dirt can quickly build up. If cleaned correctly, comfort rooms can avoid problems, such as rust
stains and mold on the floors, sinks, and toilets, which can result in having to replace these fixtures
sooner than normal. Regular cleaning and maintenance can save valuable time and money.
The data gathered by the proponents of this project in Pototan National Comprehensive High
School (PNCHS), wherein the proponents distributed survey forms to the president of each
classroom wherein 60% of it are females and 40% are males, the survey form consists of 10
questions relevant to the project. According to the data, 30% were comfortable and satisfied in
using one of the comfort rooms in Pototan National Comprehensive High School (PNCHS) while
70% of the students were not because of lack of water to use, no cleaning tools, and no hygiene kits.
The team concludes that most of the comfort rooms Pototan National Comprehensive High School
(PNCHS) were dirty and not sanitized. We all know that every school must reach the goal of
satisfying the needs of every student. Pototan National Comprehensive High School (PNCHS) was
