Character Analysis #2
Please answer in order. In some cases a one word answer is acceptable. You do not have to write out
the question, please number your answers.
Part One - "subjective analysis"
1. List everything the playwright says about your character other characters say (and who they are)
you say about yourself
2. Create/flesh out an anecdote from your childhood that reveals an aspect of your personality
3. Create/flesh out an anecdote from your adolescence that reveals another aspect of your
personality
4. If your parents were animals, what kind of animals would they be?
5. What is your: date/place of birth/age past and current socio/economic status how do you feel
about it greatest fear greatest accomplishment political affiliation first/middle/last name and nicknames
6. Write about two influential people/events or relationships in your life
7. Write a note/letter to the other person in your scene
8. Write a journal entry or intimate letter to a friend or acquaintance
Part two: Answer the following from your point of view as the actor.
9. If your character were a/an *** what would she/he be?

10. What would be written on your character's grave stone?
11. What slogan revealing your character's general position/attitude toward life might be on the front
of his/her t-shirt? What revealing inner truth might be written on the back? For example: front:

12. List ten differences and ten similarities between yourself and your character
