Da Book

This document discusses a bodyweight training program called Body by Rings (BBR) that uses gymnastic rings for exercises with a focus on bodybuilding. Several individuals in the thread discuss their experience with the BBR program. They indicate that it provides solid programming and progressions for building muscle through basic compound exercises on rings. However, the program is not intended to help attain advanced gymnastic skills like planches or front levers. It is meant for general strength and proficiency with basic bodyweight exercises on rings.

I dunno but I'm sure it's good shit. Have you ever seen any video by Daniel that
wasn't absolutely on-point? Guy is smart, helpful, humble and all around super
nice. So are the GMB guys! We live in a good world.

Ryan tried a couple of the BbR workouts and we looked over all the programming.
It's what it claims to be: bodybuilding focus using rings. The programming is
smart, and the progressions are solid.

Also, yeah, Dan makes good stuff, and he put a lot into the production on this one.

Would also like to know about BBR. Looking at his FAQ's, I think it's interesting
that he had established from the get-go that his program isn't designed to help
someone attain gymnastic "strength skills" such as the Front Lever and Planche---it
really is just a bodyweight-oriented, bodybuilding program with gymnastic rings as
the training tool of choice. I'm guessing that there's going to be minimal
straight-arm ring work here.

Yep you're correct. The strength developed from BBR is general in nature which is
what one would expect from basic compound exercises. I've stated on the website if
your main intention is to simply improve your strength and attain skills, do not
buy the program. If you want to use gymnastic rings for building muscle and
becoming more proficient at "basic" bodyweight exercises, BBR is ideal.

He does guarantee strength increases (well i guess that comes with any program
worth its salt) but i guess maybe it does lay the foundation for straight arm ring
work after the completion of the program? Something like Rings 2 by GMB maybe

Just got the program, and whether it's worth it or not depends on how knowledgeable
and experienced you already are (unless you the $$ to spare, in which case I'd say
get it). I'll say that I'm super happy with the purchase, all my knowledge about
training and movement and programming and general fitness is self taught in my free
time, and just by studying the prescribed program I've learned a shitload on how to
really create my own program in the future. I thought I was being efficient and
effective in what I've been doing but I can see so many ways to get better it's
amazing. That alone makes it worth it to me. Yeah, I eventually would have figured
it out on my own, but it would've taken so much time and energy that this was worth
it to me.

purchasing it but i have no experience in rings so yeah

+1

World also like to know, is it primarily text based with pictures to demonstrate,
or is it fully video? I always find videos are more helpful to check your own
posture and range of motion.

The exercise explanations are conveyed using video. I also have text on each video
with key cues accompanied by a voice over for each exercise.
