Two-Storey Building Design with Roof Deck

This document is the design project submission for a four-story building with a total floor area of [insert single floor area] square meters. It includes the problem statement, which provides design parameters for the structural elements including a compressive concrete strength of 20.70 MPa and steel yield strength of 415 MPa. It also lists the architectural drawings to be included. The structural design will be presented over seven chapters, covering the plans, identification of critical gridlines, moment distribution analysis, design of flexural reinforcement, slabs, stirrups, and beam details.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The proponent designed and computed the structural analysis of a Four –
Storey Building with a total building footprint of *insert single floor area of
building here* square meters with the following design parameters:

a. f’c = 20.70 MPa (Compressive Strength of Concrete)

b. fy = 415.00 MPa (Yield Strength of Steel)

The building shall include the following architectural details:

a. Site Development Plan

b. Vicinity Map
c. Perspective
d. Elevations (Front, Rear, Right and Left Side)
e. Foundation Plan
f. Floor Plans (G/F - RD)
g. Floor Framing (2/F - RD)
h. Longitudinal and Cross Sections
i. Stairs and Details

The Structural Elements of the Four – Storey Building must be detailed according
to the following:

a. Height
- The minimum height of the building from Ground Floor to Second Floor shall
be 4.0m; while the minimum height from Second Floor to Third Floor and Third
Floor to Roof deck is 3.0m. Natural Grade line is 0.5m below Ground Floor Level.
b. Footing
- It shall have a minimum dimension of 2.0m by 2.0m.
c. Beam
- It shall have a cross-section with a minimum dimension of 250mm by 500mm.
d. Column
- It shall have a temporary cross-section with a dimension of 400mm by 400 mm.
e. Slab
- Minimum slab thickness shall conform to the provisions of the National
Structural Code of the Philippines.
f. Wall
- Thickness is upon the discretion of the designer.
