Non-Interactive Adpatch Guide

1) Run adpatch in non-interactive mode, creating a defaults file. When prompted for the patch directory, abort the session. 2) To merge patches, run admrgpch to copy patches from a source to destination directory. Alternatively, run admrgpch specifying the source, destination, and a manifest file containing only the zip file locations.

To start adpatch in Non-interactive mode

do first step:

1)[applmgr@r0357 7305220]$ adpatch


defaultsfile=$APPL_TOP/admin/<SID>/defst.txt create
this file
2)When it prompt you for patch directory then write ABORT
and terminate that adpatch session.

Patch Non-interactive Mode

[applmgr@r0357 7305220]$ adpatch


defaultsfile=/APPSDB/demo/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/DBR12/def
st].txt \
> logfile=7305220.log \
> patchtop=/R12-SETUP/Patches/ADA6/

FOR Merging patches

1)
[applmgr@r0357 Patches_4_merge]$ admrgpch merge_pch/
make_merge/ source
Destination

2)[applmgr@r0357 Patches_4_merge]$ admrgpch -s merge_pch/


-d make_merge/

3) Use manifest file


[applmgr@r0357 make_merge]$ admrgpch -s merge_pch/ -d
make_merge/ -manifest mrg

Manifest file contain zip file Location. Nothing else.
